Ozark

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Wed Jul 26, 2017 10:14 pm

New tv programme on Netflix. Haven't been this hooked on a series since Sons of Anarchy.

Very breaking badesque, however defiantly worth the watch. Any other new tv programmes anyone can recommend.

I enjoyed Start-Up which has Martin Freeman in it. Bit different. Obvs there is all the usual ones which everyone adds to these posts but think that is probably the newest I have watched. If you can though there is a History channel TV Series called Gangland Undercover about a meth cooker turned informant who infiltrates a motorcycle club in America. Charles Falco is his name, has a few good books out also.

Lilyhammer and Bloodline on Netflix are brilliant!

"Ozark". Lots of banjo music in that one, is there, Newcastle. And none of the actors have teeth, right. Just like when "The Sopranos" was on, the unemployment rate among fat Italo-American actors took a serious hit. You could say "It got whacked".

Finished watching it tonight. Really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Last time a saw a scene like that with the baby in the final episode was when i watched Dogville, mouth agape through the whole scene. I'll be looking out for season 2 next year.

Turner Classic Movies ran "Psycho" last night, starting at 2 o'clock in the morning. As the commentator pointed out, "Psycho" was ground-breaking in many ways. Nobody was better at using the camera than Hitchcock, not even John Ford. His visualization was unsurpassed. But what it really did was open up a whole new gendre of movies and TV programs whose main, if not only, purpose was to shock the viewer. The trend continues to this day. You can't really tell who the good guys are anymore, and they're certainly not guaranteed to be around until the end of the show. (You can also blame this on John Wayne, when he died at the end of his last movie, "The Shootist".)

What I'm really trying to say is that the decline of western civilization can all be blamed on Alfred Hitchcock.

Same here! Really thought the preacher fella had gone full psycho. All nicely tee'd up for a second series though so can't wait for that! :)

Yeah enjoyed the first couple of episodes.
Have just started watching Deadwood too, really enjoying this.
Never fancied Sons of Anarchy.
I will also give Bloodline a go now.
I don't have Lillyhammer on our Netflix unfortunately, as it's French and doesn't have all the same programmes.

Any other recommendations?

Just started watching Salvation, it's only around 3 episodes in (and not aired in the uk yet). About an asteroid heading for earth - pretty decent.

Otherwise I'd reccommend Narcos, Suits, Game of Thrones?
