If you could cross breed two players

Post by Diesel » Thu Jul 27, 2017 8:29 am

The Andre Blake thread got me thinking:

As per thread title.

Andre Blake or Robbie Gray, either way Christ what a player we would have.

Please give a warm Turf Moor to our new No.8...Adrian Deary!!!! That`s the Randall variety, not the Heath.

George Best and Christian Ronaldo would be interesting, since it is well known that Ronaldo is teetotal.

Dave Thomas & Trevor Steven. Just about remember Thomas. Steven was class. Older fans may have the likes of Jimmy Mac. My Dad always told me about Ray Pointer being a bull of a man. So maybe Ray Pointer crossed with Andre Gray?

In my time watching Burnley - The trickiness and sprint speed of Super Glenn Little with the strength power and physical presence of Billy Hamilton would take some stopping.... probably be like mixing a young and old version Steve Kindon combined thinking about it.
In midfield it would have to be Martin Dobson and Trevor Steven.
Defender Vince Overson with Andy Warton's fight and engine - no bugger would get through... at least not with both legs.

They're off the top of my head others in the frame Payton's finishing springs to mind, Micky Phelan's football brain at the back, Tommy Hutchinson's ability to sail past a man even at 40. Brian Laws engine in John Pender would have been a hell of a defender too.

I could go on and on and I've not even mentioned our current crop who are as a group are the highest achievers I've seen.

How about putting Steve Kindon's pace into Andy Lochhead? He'd take some stopping.

David Edgar and James Tarkowski.

He wouldn't be a world beater and still wouldn't be a midfielder.

I think you are all missing a key and necessary element to this procedure. I think I'd go with Carli Llyod and Christian Ronaldo.

2 players we've had ( semi recently ) who were utter top drawer were Steve Davis and Robbie Blake. Cross any of them 2 with someone who had pace and your looking at international standard players.
