on channel four on sunday night.

massively disappointing. loved the book and was expecting great things.

the pace is slovenly, i don't give a shyt about the protagonist and i want the baddies to win.

anyone else seen it?

I am enjoying it. I like that it has the time and space to explore the characters. Surprised that misogynistic dystopia isn't a more common genre. I understand a second series has been commissioned - interested to see where they go.

UTC!

Not often these days that a story is given time to develop, I have enjoyed it and shall look forward to the next series.

The only thing I have watched in recent years that was allowed to develop slowly and was essential viewing was Rubicon on BBC4 - that was American and didn't get a 2nd series as the American audience struggled with the depth of character build up throughout

Well cast and some good acting. Very uncomfortable viewing.

Moss is also in "China Girl" with a rather bizarre Nicole Kidman - gorgeous as ever though - on BBC2, Thursdays. Another slow-burner with all kinds of sub-plots swirling around. Excellent, thoughtful drama. Watched six on the trot last night.
