Obviously better paid than the players who just play county cricket but I wondered how much Cook, Root or Anderson earn per year?

Top players will be on around 1m a year and county cricketers 100k. A massive financial boost to what it was 10/15 years ago.
Muralitharan came to lancs as overseas when he was one of the top world cricketers for 78k for the season.

I've just stumbled across an article about the sponsorship some players get, and Virat Kohli gets around $20m on top of his IPL and BCCI contracts of $6.9m. MS Dhoni gets $14m on top of $5.7m.
By contrast Chris Gayle gets sponsorship of $3m and league contracts of $4.5m

In answer to the op question........plenty.
Stuart Broad lives half a mile from me in a pretty large place (just a little more palatial than my modest gaff) and I have witnessed Alex Hales roaring down the main drag in West Bridgford in his motor which looked more like the bat-mobile (and clearly didn't come cheap). Mind you he was dropping off his laundry (seriously) so not earning enough to get a minion to do his basic gophering!!!???!!
