I think 2-1 win for Burnley,
A new look team for us, players will be eager to make an early impression, Chelsea will be an early scalp for us.
Away game hoodoo from last season will be sorted with a first game victory at the bridge.
Also, even though it was community shield today, chelsea looked less frightening somehow, they seemed haggard and worried, i think the prospect of facing us has been giving them sleepless nights.

I remember when we beat Derby 3-0 away, I couldn't believe it. What an amazing scoreline. I'm hoping a 0-2 away victory for the open day maverick result to create what would be the result of the season. WOW!

A 3-0 defeat and Burnley rolled over, is more likely and a sense of top and bottom class distinction showing through. I so hope that won't happen.

sean dyche will be aware of all the likely pitfalls, the reason hes a good manager is that he learns from mistakes.
I am excited at the new season dawning, but as you say, it could be the result of the season.

Similar to last year, we will be camped in our own half. 4 or 5 is the only likely outcome.

Chelsea 3 Burnley 0. If it's the team that started on Sat probably 4-0. We need to be at our best and cannot see us creating much. Set pieces will be crucial.

1-1. Chelsea aren't in a good way. Hazard, Bakayoko and Moses out, Costa ostracised, and they were rubbish in the community shield. I'm confident of coming away with a point.

I would say the touch and go could be more a reality, but hell we shocked the league last year, may bloody win it this time

Our defense is much weaker without Keane therefore 4-1 Chelsea

I think we could nick a point at Chelsea, if you listen to all the football media or read the papers, there appears to be some disharmony at the Bridge at the moment which is a throwback to the Mourinho era. There is never a good time to play the Champions, but the 1st match gives us a opportunity to put a marker down and compare ourselves to the 'best in the league'. Dyche is cagey on his team selection at the moment, some of it is probably down to places being up for grabs in his first 11 but I also think he has one or two surprises up his sleeve for Saturday's game. So I will stick my neck out and go for 1-1.

One of those games where I'd take coming home pointless so long as we can hold our heads high.

No idea what his line up or formation is likely to be, but how can you assess it for the next game when you are away to the Champions

I'd prefer 4-5-1, and see how it goes. We would have the option to revert to 4-4-2 if we still have a chance of a result late on.

Depends on the team we put out as if Dyche doesnt bottle it we could easily catch them cold and grab a point but based on the first part of my sentence i therefore predict 3-0 Chelsea

Heart- 2-1 Clarets
Head- 2-1 Clarets
Feet- 3-1 Clarets

I think our formation will be key. Last season we played 4 4 2, and Chelsea were happy to sit back and let us have the ball. We passed it around the middle for a while, got nowhere and were either dispossessed, or knocked it long to be swallowed by the Chelsea central defenders. We were then out of shape and were exposed on the counter. I feel if we play 4 5 1, Walters up front with one of the midfielders breaking to support when we go forwards, it gives us our best chance of getting something. Opening game, you never know. We had a 1-1 3 seasons ago, I would take that in a flash this Saturday.
