New striker incoming
Re: New striker incoming
Haha... Burnley fans believing it could be Welbeck. Top fishing.

Re: New striker incoming
Welbeck?
Someone said Neymar as a joke before (well, I assumed it was one but you never really know) but this at least 2/3rds of the way there.
I'd love him here, just like I would Messi, but its not very likely is it?

Danny Welbeck is from Manchester, Manchester is near Burnley. Looks like this could be a goer.

Down the pecking order at Arsenal. Feels he needs game time to have hopes of being in the England squad come next summer, Wants to move back north.
Just what I've heard.
That would be exciting. He's a quality player who with regular games could be a 15-20 goal striker. Personally I'm not sure why Arsenal don't actually play him more (although he's been injured) given they're in need of proper goalscorers (same with Giroud who has a great return on minutes played). It's like Arsene wants to "just come close" at times!!
Very exciting prospect there though I don;t really believe that (wages- too big).
My lad heard yesterday we're supposed to be vying with the Toon for Ings for 7.5m

Re: New striker incoming
This thread has the potential to name every striker whose ever played.
I'm waiting for the "Mongolian Neymar" to be suggested
And at least one poster will claim "he's just what we need"

After the past week or so of absolute misery on here and bickering - just thought I'd throw a thread in that'd actually get people talking about football and get a little excited (used my use of usual inside info to add credibility).
Actually had no info through about this but glad it actually got people talking about football again properly instead of just trying to rip into each other.

Can't say who it is yet but we could be in for a very nice treat if this is genuine info (it usually is spot on info).
More likely to be done before WBA though than Chelsea but it's a possibility of trying to push it through early.

Why on earth would someone who previously was a good source of info post such garbage?
Either 1) You have had a player mentioned to you and received a rebuke for posting on here from your 'source'.
Or 2) You are some kind of narcissist who enjoys making your fellow Clarets who are craving for news suffer
Or 3) you are a tw@

The one thing I have noticed about this board is how hard it is to build up credibility. But when you do, you can be quite respected for it.
You have just lost any credibility for ever. You will not be trusted again. Still, it seemed to amuse you and Saxo.

So if he says stuff about transfers it means very little until he says "we've signed xyz"

To be fair, the guy gave no information worth discussing anyway. It was the vaguest description of a new signing you could really get.
I think the fact we all know is - we are trying to sign a new main eleven striker. Until a name drops from a reliable source such as Sky, The Mirror etc I will treat everything as speculation.

He said the same thing last year.
He didn't even confirm that Defour had signed, even though Anderlecht has tweeted that he had.
You can read too much into these things, though I agree as the transfer fees skyrocket, we are going to find it tougher and tougher
