I seem to remember that we played Wovers a few years ago in the Cup on a evening and we didn't have to take the silly buses. I don't know if I am imagining this as it was a fair few years ago now. I think I am right in thinking there was very little trouble as well.

Also if this is the case why not try it again? Chances are it wont even be a big crowd compared to the previous fixtures as the boycott rages on

The boycot will likely have another temporary suspension. Seems to be a pick and choose boycot.

There will be trouble without the busses to some aspect but i fully expect thousands wanting to be in attendance so lets see what they do

It was the FA cup replay. Buses were laid on and encouraged but not mandatory, we travelled in a normal car, parked up, went to the game, saw no bother and went home

Yep, I travelled with the supporters club and it was so much better. There was no trouble. I doubt the police and clubs will have enough time to plan the usual frog march? I'm not going unless we can travel normally as I think it'll be on TV.

Imagine it will be too short notice to do the coaches unless it's limited tickets. Don't think the FA cup tie was totally trouble free and neither was the recent youth cup tie.

If there's no 'bubble' there'll possibly be a lot of trouble because idiots will be wanting to make up for lost time. Especially if we lose, which let's face it, it's the cup and lower league opposition and losing to them is what we're good at recently.

Not that I want the bus malarkey (though I don't mind it), its a pretty poor do if the Police can't organise something given two weeks notice.

There hasn't been trouble at any of the games apart from the first two league games back. 2002? Still nothing major between the two sets of fans and wouldn't get a mention if it was against Blackpool or Bradford for instance.

The Blackburn support might have got a bit more aggressive with what has got on, losing the majority of premier league fans. Whereas our support is far better behaved.

Night match, on t.v., not much time for people to get tanked up and without any Clarets thinking I need to see us win there. It's been done, the monkey is off our back, now it's just a case of beating them in their cup final.

Perfect opportunity to see how it goes.

I would genuinely love to see the official statistics on arrests and disorder at the fixture since its resumption in 2000. I'm willing to stick my neck out here and say that the midweek Cup Replay was the one with the fewest amount of arrests.

Pretty sure last seasons arrest stats (nationally) had the biggest % in league cup matches ,mainly as games where tickets aren't hard to come by and quite a few of the old school lot turn up.

Can't see the buses only nonsense though I'd v much imagine BFC will put buses on and recommend that way of travel etc.

Ha, I believe there is no planning process for making it a bubble game. I put in a Freedom of Information request last time asking for copies of the decision making process (correspondence, emails, minutes, risk analysis, etc) and was told by the police that there wasn't any, no documentation at all ...

Would think there will be a statement saying will be restricted numbers to Burnley fans due to policing concerns ..disagree Macca people will have all day to get tanked up

As posted above, the police have 2 weeks which should be enough time if they want to arrange buses etc, however i hope they don't. The bus is an absolute pain in the arse and takes 10x longer.

I'd be very surprised, the bubble works (unfortunately) why would they risk it? Setting off at 6.30pm is more than enough time to get there and the traffic will of died down by then.

Once the dates released it will be a book off work job, so plenty will be getting tanked up. I expect burnley centre to be heaving pre match
