Currently the best player is Defour by a million miles. Unfortunately, he isn't your typical SD player.

The no brainer is to instantly think Heaton.
Then Defour if he hits the heights he's (hopefully) capable of. Then Ward and possibly Vokes.

If that changes and becomes Brady and Gud then they'll have had excellent seasons but they still, consistency wise, have it to prove.

Mee makes my list easily. If him and Heaton stay as Clarets forever I'll be happy.

It's a tough choice boyyanno. I highly rate a lot of our players that might not get picked.

Example: Hendrick, Lowton and Mee who were excellent last season overall.

Ok. I'll play.

Why might Mee not get picked? We would need to sign Kompany for Mee not to get picked.

Because you can only pick four, it seems.

He doesn't even get the chance he deserves. He doesn't suit our style of play. We will regret letting him go when he moves to a bigger team and has a big influence. He is a Belgian international remember!

I'd say only 1 definitely correct. Even if Gray was still here.

I'd say Heaton, Ward and 2 from Defour / Cork / Mee / Hendrick / Brady

Barnes' inclusion is laughable. Virtually non-existent since Boxing Day

Heaton and Defour are the top 2 by an absolute country mile

Heaton and Mee are my definites; Vokes an almost-definite, and probably Hendrick for the fourth. That's more based on past performance rather than future expectations.

I was pondering the question but in all honesty at present I find difficult to answer with any conviction. For the past few seasons its been IMO Heaton, Boyd, Marney/Barton and Keane. I think its a big season for some of our players. If Defour is given game time he'll surely be one. Brady could but he is just too inconsistent for me. So at present I would say Heaton, Defour, Mee and I'm struggling for a forth. Hopefully still to come through the revolving door.

Why does he deserve it? No way has he pulled his tripe out enough!

Looks shaper this season and needs to live up expectations because he has apart from a few touches not justified the hype so far

IMO our best 4 players are:
Defour
Heaton
Hendrick
Brady

Most consistent and reliable:
Heaton
Mee ( I personally worry as much about his level of performance this year without Keane next to him as I do about Tarks ability to step up, though I hope I am wrong)
Ward
Vokes

Personally I believe Mee is one of our best players as he offers a lot of pace and organisation to a slow old side
