Like Alexander of old, he sighed for fresh worlds to conquer.

He's gone now, not interested apart from when Watford get relegated and have to find someone to take him off their hands for cheap, but they won't find anyone willing to pay approx £100k/week...

Starts from the bench today.
Will be surprised If he doesn't get a run on regardless of score.

The only time I'll worry about what Andre Gray is doing is when we play Watford.

Gray supposedly talking in my national newspaper says, "people wondered why Burnley were paying £9 million for a championship player, the next thing we knew we'd won the championship and I was top scorer and player of the year in the league" so it's nothing new. "People raise their eyebrows but that's part of football". Interesting views on his wages, this paper is saying "on or about £55k per week." I still thank him for being a big part of a great team getting us out of the championship but now we move on. I wish him well at Watford, apart from against us of course.

Pity he didn't conquer the premier league last season before he decided to look for a new challenge.

He's a Watford player now and will be saying what Watford fans will want to hear.
Same as when we signed him ..... Would have been a bit peeved if he said then "I just fancied a bit more money for an easier job than I have now .... "

Good luck to the lad except against us and it is a new challenge he has to decide Black or White Range Rover

That's 99.9% of professional footballers.

Some weird comments on here. Course moving to Watford's a new challenge. How isn't it? Just because a Burnley fan might consider Watford weaker than us doesn't mean Gray moving there isn't a new challenge. He could move to Barrowford Celtic and it'd be a new challenge.

Would this be the new challenge of carrying a much heavier pay packet? That's the sort of challenge most footballers (and everyone else, to be fair) go for.

Now that he is at Watford it's a new challenge, I was commenting on his perceived desire for a new challenge which led him to look to move from Burnley.

To be fair, not everyone else perceives money as a measure of success and happiness.

A footballer moving for money- surely not.
Good player for us, got us back to the Prem and did pretty well last season.
Good luck to him.

Great player for us. Vital to where we are. Moved for more money? And? Why does anyone think he left Luton for Brentford, for us?
Only a special kind of envious idiot would think that someone career driven and successful shouldnt leave for a contract that will set them up for life regardless of performance.
I am sure them people have never left their employer for a different challenge and more chance of more money...

Not many players percentage wise play football because they love football. They play because of the money. Gray is a prime example. Had we paid him stupid money he'd have stayed. There is no 'new challenge'. He goes to the club that offers him the most money. Nothing about football.
