Bit of a long shot, but I am driving to London for the Spurs game.

Is Harrow or Westfield the best option to park? (The wife and daughter want to go shopping whilst the game is on)

I'm also driving 8 people down in a mini bus, could do with some parking tips.

Are you better parking somewhere and getting the tube in and back out.

when we went to wembley we drove to Harrow....no problems at all apart from pubs full of sheff utd fans and took a while to get out of london after match.....good option I would say.

Westfield has excellent parking, 6 pound and tube/overground 5 min walk plus loads of restaurants should you be early and want a bite.

Is that 5 minute walk to the tube, from the tube to Wembley or 5 minute walk after parking up?

we didnt pay for parking in Harrow...just parked up...no problems.

It's not a bad shout to park at Northwick Park hospital , thinks it's about £6 for 5hrs , then it's 2 minutes on the tube to Wembley Park , tube is quiet going that way in too

Westfields perfect for all in your group.

We'll probably be parking at Stanmore and the mrs will get the tube in for shopping from there. Although we are coming from East Anglia...

Just looked at Westfield and looks an extra 30 mins drive from Harrow to then come back on yourself.

We have 4 adults, 2 children ( 7 & 12 ) and 2 16 year olds in our group.

Wanting to park up, maybe get some simple food, easy tube in, easy tube out , then get back on our way.

Already some flapping about these oyster card jobs people need to get.

You don't need an Oyster card for the tube anymore, apparently you can just use your normal debit card providing it has contactless. Just FYI.

you can definitely use contactless credit/debit cards for tube, quick in and out.

Stanmore the 1st stop but the car park does get busy and the residents hold placards up " Park on my drive !" £10-15 !!
Alternatively drive past and do a left, head for Kingsbury,it's about a 5-10 minute journey .. we have parked Brampton Road area if you google it it's just off the main road where there is a decent TJ Moon's Weatherspoons a few doors up from the tube station which is just one stop from Wembley .. The adults will need a contactless debit card each just scan it over the gates on entry and exit both journeys, works out a lot cheaper than buying individual or day tickets .. The kids are usually let through free of charge .

I have neither a contactless card or debit card, although the boy has, so I'll just use that and reimburse him.

Yes , not very good with technology etc.

If using a card make sure you tap out as well as in or you will get charged

If you get an oyster max you will pay is £6.60 for the day (same on debit card). A day travel card is more than twice that.

Also if you dont use everything on the oyster you can cash it in so you get that back along with the cost of the oyster (£5)

Easy peasy ..why make life difficult.

If you are going M40 then I would use Hillingdon, parking all day on Sunday is £1.50, and get on Metropolitan LIne to Wembley Park.

Make sure you fill up.

On this occasion, unlike parking for the Chelsea game, it isn't actually a bad idea. Only a couple of stops or so on the Metropolitan line.
