I have suffered 30 years of **** off basterds and was there when we lost 5-0,When you live amongst them for 40 years it becomes pay back time,It does not matter whether it's 2nd round of the league cup.Belief me it matters.

Then it's certain. All frontline players, playing for maximum embarrassment.

Too right. I want to see this Defour (albeit no red card) v Rovers.

We lost to Stanley last year didn't we? Don't expect much next week, obviously local honour not one of Dyche's concerns.

Even if we drop out of this tin-pot competition, I believe our honour would be intact. Our League status, the quality of our squad and our many millions of pounds would be enough for me.
Tbh, Rovers are fast becoming an irrelevance, they are just another lowly NWest club and will be desperate to damage us in any way they can.
If we play and lose any of our first team midfielders, our season is in trouble and that, I suspect, would give the Rovers' gimps far more satisfaction than winning this one-off.

Some horror stories in the making on here. Freddie U?

Nothing against some of the players, but against them, a team of players that has not played a competitive game together is too far.

I don't think Dyche will do this for one moment, but we should go strongest team possible at full tilt. I want so much to smash the goons in their blue and white clown-suits as hard as we possibly can. I want the Vide-printer to have to spell out our score.

I imagine Bardsley and Taylor in for the full backs.

Westwood in for Defour

Wood in for Vokes

Please don't risk Defour........

Wood to come on as an impact sub just to get us into double figures - I'm going for 0-11

Bardsley for Lowton, Arfield for JBG, and maybe Westwood for Cork.

For those saying Ulvestad - well he shouldn't be anywhere near the team for that game.

Every first choice player. Go through them. When we're 4/5-0 up then bring key players off. We must not lose against this set of clowns.

I think selecting Taylor is the easiest pick of the lot. I'd also give Defour a game off, because he's the one central midfielder we can't replace, he's that good.

The thing that I'm wondering, is if Barnes plays, it'll make him cup-tied for any club wanting him who are still in the competition - it might or might not be a deal breaker, but it wouldn't surprise me if Dyche doesn't play him.

Heaton
Bardsley Tarkowski Mee Taylor
JBG Hendrick Westwood Arfield
Wood Walters

Pope

Bardsley Tarkowski Mee Taylor

JBG Westwood Arfield Walters

Barnes

Wood

Its a tough one but I think SD will decide more practice for the central defensive partnership is more important than Long getting game time therefore Tarkowski and Mee stay in.

JBG keeps his place due to lack of options on that side ATM.

Barnes effectively playing Hendrick role with Wood making his debut up front.

Can see Barnes and Walters switching around as game goes on as both very capable of playing dual roles.

Full team for me, living in a community where half is blackburn and half is burnley it's pretty hard to not want to stuff this lot once and for all.

Saying eight changes makes me slightly uneasy

Depends who the changes are, i wouldn't risk Defour or Heaton, they are too important to lose, but everyone else should be considered. After the result on Saturday, the squad owe the fans a performance, and more importantly a victory,we don't want to be  again especially against this lot.

Pope starts as he's been promised the cups
1 CB from Saturday to partner Long ( id go Mee )
Cork must play as he keeps the ball very well and will sweep up and then get moves started.
Think the other will be Hendrick or Brady

So my guess, and what should play is

Pope
Bardsley Long Mee Taylor
Brady Westwood Cork Arfield
Barnes Walters

Personall I'd like to keep the back four apart from Put Bardsley in for Lowton.

Put Scotty in for JBG, and Westwood for Cork.

However it seems inevitable that we will go 4-4-2 , blooding Taylor and maybe saying farewell to Barnes along the way, hopefully with a goal or two for him.

Aye aye UTC

To the fans yes it does, but not necessarily to the managers, interestingly Rovers are planning changes also :o given their small squad and several injuries they have the personnel for this,i guess their priority is a return to the Champ, with our current squad we should be able to put out an 11 to beat an average league 1 side surely, the difference this year is we have strike power available we are not starting with Juke thank heavens.
