Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
He's had to battle hard against pretty much the best defence in the World tonight. I don't know how much we will go up to value wise but he is a much better player than he showed tonight. I guess it will depend how many others we are looking at. Plenty of good value in La Liga and plenty of players that would walk into our team that's for certain

Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
I was pretty impressed with him but for the penalty. He got in some great positions for 4 or 5 good chances, a real handful. Showed some good pace too. Commentators mentioned that they felt he has been Deportivo's best and most dangerous player. For the right price, sign him up.

I can't imagine knowing someone is trying to sign him affects his ability to takes penalties.

You know you sound like a knob when you start remarking on people's grammar, bet you checked your post about 3 times to check for mistakes.SkiptonClaret wrote:I think you need a comma after wouldn't, Winston. Might have made more immediate sense then. Anything constructive to add on the subject of the thread or do you just want to be abusive to another poster ?

. thinks this guy should have netted at least two of the chances tonight. Unlike others, he's not too impressed with just passion & commitment - the bench is already full of that.

Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
Vegas Claret wonders how many times Jeremy Bentham has seen Andone play ?
Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
He looks like he'd be a good alternative type from our current strikers and at the right price I'd be happy with him signing. From his interview Deportivo have told him he isn't going. Sounds to me it will take a pretty big increase on our previous offer.
So, if the 11.8 is accurate along with his release clause of approx 27m, then it's likely to need close to 20m to even tempt them and at that price is he good value.

Like a Romanian version of Martin Paterson, infact he's more Paterson than Martin himself.

Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
£14m is living in la la land. We're in a world where Demari Gray is being touted at £30m and we paid upward of £18m for Chris Wood! This lad is clearly going to cost as much as Wood, if not more, solely because the clubs around Europe know how much money PL teams have. They might sell him for less to someone in Italy or Spain but not England. They'll milk us for all they can!!Vegas Claret wrote:Utter drivel

That Spanish lad has a Facebook profile implying he works at the club. He has a heck of a lot of retweets though so either he has plenty of time on his hands or its just as likely he is a Russian bot or some stirrer sat at a desk in Moscow. You just never know nowadays.
If Andone signs he signs, i want a centre back more though so I am not sweating over it.

All I saw him say was we had other options. He didn't state who.Reecey1987 wrote:He was having a conversation with somebody late last night and he said hes still on our trail . Waris still not done but getting a bit closer
Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
Not sure if Andone (too expensive) or Waris (not good enough?) are our best options.
We definitely need a fast, mobile, technically strong forward to partner Vokes or Wood.
IMHO has to be Long or someone with similar qualities.

Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
The true translation is: I bring bad news about Andone. Burnley have returned and WILL sign another number 9! They are very interested in Andone.
Can we get him? Not sure but I think we will get Ranocchia as Inter are in discussions to get Mangala from City and hopefully sign Waris as not too far away from meeting L'orient valuation of him. Andone would really be the icing on the cake of what I think has been a much improved window.

Sometimes I worry that I will wake up back in 198whenever it was and find that I am still quite excited about signing a player from Matlock Town. Are we really bidding to get players from Deportivo La Coruna and Internazionale?leightonjameslegend wrote:The true translation is: I bring bad news about Andone. I hope we are still in for Andone as this guy has suggested but more than likely to be false.
Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
He looks like exactly what we need so I hope there is some truth in this.
Re: Florin Andone - £11.8m bid
Not just any player from deportivo... Probably one of their best. Skipton is to be commended for his vigilance in the face of grammatical provocation!
The possibility of Skipton captaining a ship or other vessel called the "Glass Half Empty" is, however, quite amusing. So thanks to Winston for that.

Rumour - still no movement on Perez for Deportivo
http://news.arseblog.com/2017/08/deport ... ws+site%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Maybe his agent should stop trying to butter up Wenger for a lower price and help us out by persuading Deportivo to accept an offer from us that is less than the release clause on Andone. That could get things rolling for Deportivo and Perez.
We get Andone for a decent amount, Deportivo fill up their coffers and pay Arsenal what they are asking, Perez gets his dream move.
Everyone is happy

Why don't we just go for Perez, that may change Deportivo's mind
