I'm wanting to download some movies for the kids for an upcoming flight, are torrent sites still going, can't seem to get on any now?

Most require membership if still alive and kicking. FWIW I downloaded straight from Netflix onto my laptop for my recent holiday only to find there was a full selection of entertainment on the 'no entertainment' flight

Beware. Your internet service provider might send you an email telling you off.

Virgin will automatically stop you connecting to a torrent site. Allegedly they also put a big slow-down on your account for a time as a 'punishment'.

Think you can download films from 'Showbox'.
All free.
My niece travels a lot with work and just downloads from there onto her tab to watch.

I think that most internet providers have blocked torrent sites. However...I have found a little work around, I use my phone as a hotspot to access the sites, download the torrent then revert back to my ISP...works for me!

Cartoon HD is very good and it isn't cartoons as the name suggests. Also Disney Life do a free week if your kids are small.

You can also use a VPN which will automatically unblock torrent sites as it reroutes your IP address to a different country before connecting. Some are free but slow, others you pay a small amount for such as GOM (about a fiver a month but you don't have to buy lengthy subscription, I use this it's good), also IP vanish and a few others.

Use a pirate or kickass proxy, search for the film, download by clicking on the magnet, check download on uTorrent 5 minutes later...

I'm assuming either you have employee discount or use some sort of Ugandan itunes workaround, but movies on itunes are a hell of alot more than "a few quid".
