Presume it was to do with the Hanover game names being taken and all that then were thrown off the game

Have the Hannover fans not gone home yet?

In all seriousness BFC can't surely be banning Burnley fans can they?

I spoke to people in CFS yesterday saying how frightening the whole situation was and how they felt they had been put in harms way some with kiddies and family in attendance.

Sounds about right .German thugs smash seats up and hurl them into the crowd, attack police and stewards then are allowed to leave the ground unhindered .I know lets arrest some Burnley fans for attemting to protect their children .

Names taken and told to make appointments with the ground safety officer and then ejected possible warnings on conduct or small ban likely imo

That really doesn't 'sound about right'.

Can't say I'm surprised by this. Knew the Germans would get off scott free and a few of our lads would get collared for it. Looks good for the police and club to say they've identified the culprits, issued some bans etc etc.

No doubt there were a few who were bigging it up for the sake of bravado. You see it every week from the safety of the 'separation', whatever that entails. Easy target for those trying to save face on a very badly run job.

Few coins thrown from the cricket end yesterday as well when their player got sent off seems like some people intent on getting us thrown out

They watch fans behaviour on the cameras over a few games. So if you get a warning it will be for a few things.

"Names taken and told to make appointments with the ground safety officer and then ejected possible warnings on conduct or small ban likely imo"

The safety officer is still in a job?

After that fiasco there is only one person who should get a banning order and they should stay as far away from Turf Moor as possible.

As mentioned the people I spoke to in CFS weren't impressed.

Put in harms way by the club and only the bravery of the stewards and police helped save the situation.

Typical burnley this.

I said no germans would be charged and burnley fans would be collared after the video evidence was asked for.

That safety officer wants sacking

I got a huge amount of stick after the Hannover fiasco when i suggested this sort of thing would happen. Sadly it is typical Lancs Constabulary and BFC 'safety' officer. Anyone remember Alex Wood? Seemed to measure his success in how many fans he could ban from the ground.

Despicable. Don't let them back in that stand, if caught. In fact....not in any stand, anywhere.

If these are the wannabe Danny Dyer's who give it large every week then ran away like little girls when some fans actually came at them then good.

They have embarrassed the club with their cowardliness and a fitting punishment would to be to put them in stocks so we can all laugh at the little weasels and chuck rotten veg at them

Sorry not shouting but if People do things in the stand it's at their own risk, your on camera and the camera doesn't lie ,people can't complain when they get pulled even with what went on during that game the lads weren't arrested they were told to make an appointment with the powers that be at the club to explain whatever they have done, but they were asked to leave minus their season cards

There was a ground attendant with a sheet of paper that had several seat numbers written on it. He came over to a couple of blokes near me and was challenging them that their season tickets were u22s. Might not be connected to what the OP saw but this happened in the Cricketfield end.

Anyone who has thrown coins needs banning for life. If one had hit me I know what I would hav done to the culprit. Throwing veg at the weak cowards are half time is an idea that sits well with me. The liberals on here probably think it would cause psychological damage and they really need therapy.

Send us your videos and pictures they said.
Help us out they said.
It wasn't Burnley fans they said.
Don't sent them anything I said.
Why not some said.
It'll come back to haunt you I said.
Don't be daft some said.
In the end, get out is what they said.
I was right all a long I said.

You could see that from where I was sat on the half way line. Some will continue to blame the police but while that's going on it will put that area of the ground in risk. I've always thought it had been a positive move allowing our fans back in there, and still do, but that was unacceptable yesterday.

maybe don't take your kids into the cricket field stand in future. it's basically the front line and the riskiest part of the ground. not saying anyone who did take their kids in there is at fault but a bit of risk assessment would have helped for some. no doubt some of our idiots 'provoked' the Hanover fans too; which again, didn't help the situation. hopefully these were the ones who were dealt with.

I don't know who it was but someone enjoyed their job about 15 years ago.

Two seasons ago we had more bans than Man Utd did, which is laughable.

So the police ask for home fans videos and Claret Tony backed them up. Nobody is surprised, that our fans are now being punished and the Germans, who did all the damage have walked away without punishment.
Sheff weds fans started trouble, Southampton fans started trouble and now Hannover fans, and what happens everytime, the Burnley fans get punished. It was posted on here what was going to happen in the friendly match, heads need to roll and
Our club needs to grow a pair

Yes, because that someone wasn't there and was referring to someone who left the club some considerable time ago. So it wasn't an interpretation of any events and I certainly stand by what I posted.

In fairness it WAS posted on here in the week before the Hannover game what kind of people were coming and what they were all about. So I do ask the question if the rank and file fans can know this, what on Earth is "police intelligence" all about?

Fans said on here a week before what would happen and it did.

I have no issue with the police doing what they can to eliminate the "hooligan" element from our fan base. In all honesty I don't care whether Hanover "hooligans" are brought to task or not. There's no place for bad behaviour at football anymore (not that there ever was). If you're stupid enough to act like a hooligan then expect to be treated like one by the police.

I know it's on another thred... But the behaviour of the stewards towards the Grimsby women could have resulted in a right brawl. Who was being stupid there?

We aren't talking about the police here, we're talking about the club.

And what constitutes as a hooligan at Burnley FC seems to be very different to that of many other clubs.

If there's any convictions of German fans I'll be very very surprised.you let a firework off here bang a drum or wave a flag there's f...!ng uproar. Any one convicted of any offence from that match will be from burnley.

Like I said on the original thread, the police had the Hannover fans locked in a football ground with loads of cctv in front of them. The police, let them out and then asked for fans videos.
Heads should roll.

Are people seriously trying to suggest that, "Well the Hannover fans got away with it so so should we" is a valid argument.

If you act like a cock and get chucked out then it's your own stupid fault. Doesn't matter what the Germans did.

So... were people collared on Saturday for chucking coins and items on to the pitch towards Kanu Robson, or was it because of the pre-season stuff?

Apart from the prick or pricks who threw stuff on Saturday has there actually been any evidence of this 'hooligan' behaviour in that stand recently?
I wasn't on the Hannover game but from the reports and statement from the club the blame looked to be pinned on the away fans.

It's a decent point. There is a place for a great atmosphere and banter at football. It's what makes the game. There was no doubt that the Hanover fans were in some quantity trouble seeking puddle drinkers. However we all saw the pics in national press of Burnley fans with arms out seemingly calling them on.

If this is a club lead initiative (as it seems) then that's nowt to do with whatever the cops are doing.

I still hope that prosecutions and travel bans etc happen to the German hooligan element who looked to instigate trouble at a pre season friendly.

Its all ok blaming fans but the club is more than culpable in all of this and to start dishing banning orders out goes against the pale.

Its not just an incident relating to Burnley and Hannover fans its a situation that was poorly planned and even more poorly executed.

Its all well and good pointing the finger at the fans in the CFS and we all know its never been popular with some people on here.

The people I spoke to were genuinley afraid and at one point were on the verge of a fight or flight situation as one man said he wouldn't have made it away over all the seats as the Hannover fans came rushing towards them.

We all knew Hannover were arriving with a hooligan element in their Ultras why were they then placed in the same stand as Burnley fans?

It shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Burnley fans are being punished due to the incompetence of the club and they were the ones the club put in danger.

Burnley Football Club need to respond and explain why they put people in harms way.

1. Why did BFC sanction the fixture in the first place when Hannover had previous history of this type of thing.

2. a) Why weren't the due diligence checks and risk assessments completed for this particular fixture.

2. b) If the checks and assessments were completed why were the Hannover fans put in the same end as Burnley fans separated by a piece of tarpaulin and a skeleton crew of stewards and police officers.

There was nothing but praise for stewards and police officers from what I heard on Saturday as fans genuinely feared for their safety.

That shouldn't happen in this day and age.

Heads should roll.

The fans in that stand should actually be receiving an apology from the club but instead they dish out banning orders. bl00dy typical.
