London
London
Can anyone recommend good places for a late breakfast on Sunday arriving at 1030. Ideally near to somewhere for a decent pint afterwards.
Not really fussed what type happy with a fry up or some sort of street food type place.
Thanks

Re: London
I think you'll struggle, the village store doesn't open on Sundays and the pub only opens 12.00 - 2.00.
I'd take a sandwich.

Re: London
I can strongly recommend Terry's. It's "proper" in every respect.

Used to be a great littke irish bar near kings cross that sussex clarets used to use. Cracking bacon butties washed down with a pint.

An idea of where in London would probably be a good start.

Re: London
The Wild Boar 'bacon' sandwiches cooked in a wok at Borough Market used to be good.
It's all gone a bit gentrified though since I was last there, apparently.

Re: London
Not really bothered where, from my experience there is a thing called the tube that gets you about quite handily. If I like the look of something then I'll go for it.aggi wrote:An idea of where in London would probably be a good start.

Re: London
Don't know what you're after but Caravan behind Kings Cross. Expensive but brilliant Bloody Mary's
Re: London
OK. I'd look at Caravan, Balthazar (Covent Garden), Duck & Waffle (Liverpool St), Berber & Q (Haggerston), Dishoom, Gabeto (Camden) Breakfast Club, Koya (Tottenham Court Road)
All a bit different but good.

Monkey Nuts in Crouch End - used to love going there for a chilli dog for breakfast when I lived at Ally Pally.

Re: London
There's a Dishoom at Kings Cross. Basically an Indian street food place. Really popular and a bit quirky. You could get their take on a bacon butty (basically a bacon naan) but the whole brunch menu is pretty interesting.
Great cocktails too.
For a mini chain (I think there are now 3 or 4) it is really pretty good. Much preferable to a Wetherspoons, which you could get anywhere.

Unless this guy is Alan Brazil, I think the quality of the cocktails will be irrelevant.
