Won't be the most popular opinion in the world but I'd be starting him every week personally. Very tough on Ward but just think Taylor adds a different dynamic.

I agree I thought he was outstanding last night both defensively and coming forward.

Growing up watching a succession of absolute rubbish at left back it doesn't seem right to have two very good ones at the same time.

He did look good last night. Gave us options when attacking. The only thing I would say is don't forget the opposition last night were 3rd tier and not Premier League.

This guy could be a top player. I think there's room for both Ward and Taylor in our starting 11.

Was excellent last night. Best player on the pitch in my opinion. Quick, strong, direct...really really promising.

Really impressed with him last night. Hard to see how Dyche will drop Ward unless through injury.

He'll be in the team before the end of the season, maybe even before new year. He looks physical, athletic, relatively pacey and good both defensively and offensively. Very impressed so far. Just don't play him centre half again!!

The way he played last night I think he is or will become a better full back than Robertson.

Rubbish!!! I fondly remember the likes of Jason Hardy, Whooosh Deakin, Sumo Bray and Joe Jakub. Not sure how they would get on in the Premiership though.

Ward one of first names on team sheet for me. Ray Deakin seemed to improve as time went on. The whooshing changed from being a p*sstake to a chant of affection.

He was very good and it was particularly exciting to watch him getting forward - they couldn't handle him.

No surprises from me. I mentioned several times when we were linked with him, how good he was, after seeing him quite a few times for Leeds. IMO he's better than Ward, which just goes to show how sorted we are in that department!

Spot on. I'm a big Ward fan and thought he was one of our best towards the end of next year but Taylor looked class last night all be it against poor opposition.

I think we've got a real top quality player on our hands.
As someone mentioned on another thread; if he's still on the bench at the end of the season, it means Ward has had a fantastic season!

An obvious point, but it's an indication of how far we've come that players of the calibre of Taylor and Wood have to fight their way into the team.

He was very good. But Ward has been our most consistent player for two years. I think Saturday was the first time ive seen him cost us a goal.

Taylor played well. Especially second half. But Wards shirt to lose and I dont see him giving it up but for injury.

The longer we stay in the cup the better though as we will get to see more of him.

As I put on another thread, I think, especially away, that Taylor could be used in front of Wardy in a 451, with Brady playing on the right.

Very strong on the ball and refuses to give in.

He'll make a good left-sided midfield Sub but can't see him taking the left back slot from Wardy just yet.

Ward will take some shifting from fullback, very underrated member of our team, can't remember him letting us down once last season, I think Dyche will have to find another position for Taylor because I can't see him taking Ward's

He's quicker than Ward and I'd imagine will be a better player all round .Tough to drop Ward yet though and i think against weak prem opposition Ward usually keep the lid on things

I was thinking that earlier and it's a good shout. Brady doesn't need much space to be able to whip a cross in from the right.

Thought it took him a while to get up to speed last night but he was superb in the second half especially.

Wouldn't be adverse to a Ward Taylor combo down the left and shift Brady to the right.

I've said for a while now that this lad will play for England and I'm not changing my opinion anytime soon. He is class. I see him being with us for a few years before a 40 million move to Everton to replace Baines. You heard it here first!

No no no we have had this before with people trying to put square pegs in round holes. He is a left wing back and that is where he should play.

Superb dribbler for a left back, good cross and quick for his height.

LIke Arfield was a centre midfielder and Boyd was a striker? Charlie Taylor needs to be playing every week, as does Wardy. Taylor is easily better than the former 2 as a wide midfielder, surely. Also, Ward was a forward once. We need to think creatively.

No way he should be replacing Ward, yet.

The lad hasn't played a single game in the Premier League so far and whilst he looks a really good buy, I'm happy for him to bed in slowly.

His time will come, possibly quite quickly, but no need to rush anything at the moment.

I would of brought him on for Ward at half time Saturday. Ward kept being the man iñ the crossing position but didn't have the quality that Taylor has going forward. He needs to play in a home game were we are doing most of the attacking.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling he is being coached to be one of our centre backs in the fullness of time.

I could be wrong, it has been known, but it's a gut feeling that I can't shake off.

Time will tell.

I hope that's not the case. If anything, I'd expect him to move from full back to left mid.
