Very good response from going one down to one of the better teams we'll play this season.
Have to see their goal again, thought Ben was a bit unlucky/off balance.
Scotty had another superb game. As did Tarks. The 'golden' bits to Robbie's game shone through today too. What a through ball for Wood to come in on the blind side and score! Wonderful vision!
But what impressed most was the all-round team effort and, ability to chase a game.
Excellent and, fully deserved point.

Heaton 9* - MOM could of been a cricket score without him. Superb, might even be his best match for us.
Lowton 7
Tarkowski 9 - Superb
Mee 7
Ward 6
Gudmundsson 6 - still struggling with cutting back on his left foot
Defour 6 - quiet after last couple of performances.
Cork 7
Brady 9 - All our creativity came through him today. Different player this year.
Arfield 8 - Best of the central midfielders, great game.
Vokes 7 - Battled well for found it lonely up top.
Wood 8 - Could be the missing piece in the jigsaw in the way he finds space.
Barnes 6 - Made a nuisance of himself

Tarks - 10, outstanding.
Mee - 6, completely lost his head when he made a mistake for the goal but covered.
Ward - 7
Brady - 9, that pass is fantastic. Much better on the right.
Defour - 7
Cork - 7, the midfield duo should always stay together.
JBG - 6
Arfield - 7, poor in the centre, he's better on the wing.
Vokes - 7, thought he did very well considering how isolated he was.

Heaton -9 Excellent performance, some great saves.
Lowton - 8 impressed with Matt today
Ward - 7
Mee - 6 such a basic cock up for their goal, fluffed a routine clearance
Tark - 10 Thought he was superb on the ground , in the air and reading the game. MOM
JBG - 6 needs to avoid giving the ball away in dangerous positions
Defour - 8 - another excellent game.
Cork - 8 - really like Jack in this system
Arfield - 8 - best I have seen him play oddly.
Brady - 8 - operated on both sides and the pass for the goal was brilliant
Vokes - 7 - worked hard as ever
Subs
Barnes 7
Wood 8 have to give him the mark for the goal..........but needs to stay on side!!
Westwood on for last 10 gave us the extra fresh legs to see it through. 6

Just back-what a battling performance and some huge efforts by the lads. I had a friends Spurs tickets so watched it from the half way mark. Got to say the Burnley fans were immense today. What a lift that must have been towards the end
HEATON-9*, MOM kept us in game some stunning saves
LOWTON-played well defensively today and had a tricky player to keep out
MEE-7, a battling steady performance. A couple of slips
TARKS-9, immense, Good distribution, strong aerially and some wonderful tackles
WARD 7-defended well and made some great runs in 2nd half. One amazing recovery towards the end when he ran back 60 yards to block a goal attempt/cross
JBG-6 I thought the game was too quick for him. Covered well defensively but gave it away a lot early on and little threat
CORK-8, great first half but knackered by 70 minutes. Westwood should have come on and Defour stayed on
DE FOUR-8, brilliant distribution, and got some good challenges in. Him and Cork form a good pair
ARFIELD 8-the guy ran his socks off and made some tremendous breaks and runs. Thats the best I have seen him play for a long time
BRADY-8, a quality player and showing. His corner delivery is brilliant, and today he showed brilliant control, and great assist
VOKES-8, Sam was immense in the first half against one of the best defences in the League. HE seems to be battling harder than ever. Won a number of headers. If he had a yard more pace he would be one of the best in the League
WESTWOOD 7-really impressed with his contribution and reading of game. Should have come on for Cork 20 minutes earlier
WOOD 7-really impressed how he shows up for the ball and his control and touch, and lay off. Willing to chase and put people under pressure
BARNES 6, but himself about and lucky not to have been booked for one aerial clash. We sometimes underestimate how he can unsettle a defence

Dyche and staff (including sports sciencel staff): 10 (for fitness of players).
Did you notice that during the short break for injury in the first half, the Burnley players took water etc. on board whilst the Spurs players just hung around on the pitch.

I commented at the time that it was half way through the first half and it was as if we took a 'time out'.

Heaton 9 - A few good saves. As said above, it's easy to take for granted how good he is.
Lowton 8 - Did well prepositionally and tackling, limited opportunity going forward but did things tidily.
Ward 8 - Tidy defensively, limiting Tripier's crossing opportunities and a few good runs down the left in the latter stages when we were searching for the goal.
Mee 6 - generally solid but a bad mistake with the clearance when they scored.
Tark 9 MOM - Very solid in the air + some good tackles and huge effort getting up for a few dead balls near the end and having to get back.
JBG 6 - just Ok but failed to really impose himself, still settling in.
Defour 6 - did Ok making himself available and using the ball coming out from the back but ran out of steam a bit and made a few poor passes.
Cork 7 - Very good reader of the game and a strong presence.
Arfield 8 - A really good all round game with plenty of contributions going forward; showed that he still has plenty to offer
Brady 8 - gave the ball away a few times early on but got better and better right up to that great ball for Wood.
Vokes 7 - battled really well in the first half hour but got increasingly subdued, made his contribution and made way.
Subs
Barnes 6 - did his Barnesy thing
Wood 8 - put himself about as Sam had done earlier + made some good runs including the excellent one for the goal
Westwood 7 (if on long enough to mark) - solid player to bring on late in the game.
Very good team effort, away against a "big team" who had the ball a lot and moved it around & probed throughout the game. I was surprised and v pleased with the way we went for it with some vigour and skill towards the end.

Tarks seemed to be at the heart of everything at the back for Burnley according to Radio London this afternoon so the marks given seem to bear that out.

The only thing I was dissapointed with was Vokes being replaced by Barnes. Vokes was immense in the 1st half he won everything and held up the ball well but had little support, Barnes brought nothing and should be moved on.

Hopefully some will get off his back now - one of the most under-rated players we have. Clever, grafter, knows his limitations but can deliver quality at times, versatile and has made himself into a Premier League player.

Heaton 8 MOTM Kept us in it with some fine saves ( although kicking seemed a touch off today )
Lowton 7
Ward 7
Mee 7
Tarkowski 8 - Excellent
Gudmunsson 5 constantly went backwards, looked scared to take on his man, and the only time he cut inside took the wrong option of over the bar, when Lowton had made a 70 yard burst to be free on the overlap.
Arfield 7
Defour 7
Cork 7
Brady 7 great ball for the assist, but due to his style, over hit quite a few crosses. Seems to hold on for too long sometimes.
Vokes 7 held it up very well, needed some support.
Wood 7 great finish, but everything in between wasn't so good. But I'll take that every week.
Barnes 5 Wrong type of game for him IMO, their CB had him in their pocket.
Dyche 10 - pro active, not reactive. Gave us the maximum amount of time to change the result with his subs.

Caught offside because Brady was playing to many straight balls to him instead of him bending them into him, the first ball Brady bends around the defense Wood scores
