He's a leader. Big, strong, good in the air. A full season in the premier league and he might just eclipse keane

He is technically a very a good footballer, not always necessary in a centre half mind but it's surely something you would choose?

His value will go up over the season as he further improves. Mind you, his value would go up anyway because of the crazy nature of the football market.

It was interesting today, against more technical players he seemed to read the game very well. Against more physical teams he has struggled a little bit more with things like losing players on set pieces. I would have expected that to be the other way around.

Nice stuff to read. I know fans can be fickle, but a good ball playing central defender is a nice bonus, on top of being able to defend of course. £50 million please, Pep.

He must be worth at least 100 million, I heard he can play in midfield too.

Yep and getting MOM from the BBC today changes that how? What teams fans and manager do you reckon would want to swap Tarks for one their first choice centre backs if you asked them to tomorrow as i doubt any would just like you wouldnt want to swap Mee and Tarks with most other teams

Thats not having a go at Tarks thats just being realistic and objective around how good he has proved himself to be at this level as of today. In 6 months it might be a different story if he keeps putting MOTM performances but for now anyone saying he is one of the best defenders in the league is just doing so out of their love of Burnley and through their claret tinted glasses

Our recruitment and man management within the squad has been tremendous and the likes of Arfield and Tarks starring today having had to wait for a chance is testament to that. Taylor (like Ward 2 seasons ago) will have to wait for his opportunity but that approach helps us maintain such a good group attitude. Dyche needs a statue, he's been at the heart of all this.

He reminds me of Rio Ferdinand doesnt have to do crunching tackles etc just timing,position and does the simple things right.

Sorry amigo! Perhaps I misread it. Thought you were having more of a dig at him, was going to say give him a break. He's just given 2 very good performances. One against a very bad side, one against a very good one.

No probs hopefully he'll just get better and better and win many more MOTM awards (not too many though as i'd rather they go to our forwards for scoring lots of goals!)

Keane cost Everton a goal today. Tarkowski saved some for us.
