I'm only replying if you are hand delivering the results of the poll to Dyche.

I'm not sad enough to let a Burnley signing influence my state of mind to that extent.

Yes

He's got something to prove, Dyche think's he's good enough..... So, yes.
Don't really care about the price because it has no impact at all on any of us!

No poll needed look at the Nahki Wells thread, there you can see that the majority are bed wetters.

This is a bit like being asked to vote on EU membership.
Theoretically a straight yes or no, but it fails to address lots of permutations and issues, and results in more questions than answers.
If fee is low, and we also sign a good centre back for a big fee then - probably yes.
If this is the end of our spending - then no.

No , because I can't see what improvement he is to the squad.

Never really made it. However, I will leave it to the manager.

If the gaffers happy with it, I'm happy.

He knows a lot more about it than me.

Or anyone else, for that matter.

If you really think that then I suppose all is for the best in this best of all possible worlds. Suspect similar things were said at Ewood not that long ago.

UTC!

Yes. How any Burnley fan could look at the club and be unhappy, even if we sign a player they don't rate, is beyond me.

Yes. I think he'll improve the squad and give us another option.

Yes. If we sign him then Dyche is happy with him. That'll do for me.

No.

However, I won't write him off. I'll support him as I do every other Burnley player.

So somebody gives an opinion of a player and because it doesn't agree with yours they are a bed wetter ?

Think he means more those who moan about everything that the club do. Can't think who it could be aimed at!

Don't think there is a simplistic Yes or No answer. Football's littered with players who've been unsuccessful at certain clubs and been revelations at others. Albrighton at Leicester comes to mind. I saw him play at Wigan whilst on loans and he couldn't have envisaged him winning a EPL championship medal 12 months later and being ever present in the process.

just annoys me when people bash others for having an opinion. If Nixon tweeted we are after re-signing Marvin Sordell I doubt you would get many (if any) not passing a negative opinion. Too many posters on here have an agenda to jump on those who's opinion they disagree with. I think our transfer window (other than no CB which they MUST address) has been pretty good, I'm very disappointed with the Wells option though. It makes a mockery of our scouting

I don't think anyone is jumping on any opinions but it obviously gives rise to a genuine question.

As you are one of the posters who obviously dislikes the idea of Burnley FC signing Nahki Wells and you also don't rate our scouting system.

Can I just ask what you base your obviously informed opinion?

Not a loaded question just genuinely interested to know.

Question probably best answered after tomorrow.

Think we should judge the window as a whole rather than one signing. No problem with Wells. He's the kind of player we want, possibly not our first choice but our other supposed targets looking difficult to get over the line.

If we add a CB and we don't lose anyone (Barnes?) then I think people will more look favourably on the Wells deal than they do at present.

I think coming in to the squad he's probably one of the worst players so NO from me.

just to add.... we have to get what we can. i'm sure our scouts have identified numerous players whom we would all be happy to sign but they are not all available or they sign for someone else or cost too much, want ridiculous wages etc etc. we can only get those players who we can afford, who want to come to burnley and who don't sign for someone else. we can't simply identify a good player and buy him without hindrance.

A 1000 times no. Unbelievable signing which will make my blood boil if Barnes goes.

Given our current resources and standing we would deservedly be laughed at by the national media.

If there is no cb capable of starting in the PL here by the deadline, this window has been very poor overall. Without Cork and Taylor a disaster.

If we don't sign a centre-back it will akin to when we didn't sign a centre-midfielder and Marney got injured the week after. I pray to god that Tarkowski or Mee won't get injured.

My opinion is as informed as everybody elses. Wells is a bang average Championship player (Huddersfield have hardly bent over backwards to keep him either). We then apparently go for Andone who doesn't want to leave Deportivo and then Waris who clearly won't get a work permit at the first time of asking (I doubt he will after appeal either). Whilst I appreciate our scouting abroad is still in its infancy there are dozens of players that would take the **** out of Nakhi Wells that would not require a work permit (at this point pre-brexit).

As stated earlier, I hope Wells makes me eat my words but in the games I've seen him in (I've watched him specifically as we keep being linked with him) I have been completely underwhelmed. He lacks the physicality for the PL for starters.

We started the window well, we are ending it not so much (at this point)
