Off to Cardiff on loan. Wonder who is paying the bulk of those big wages.

Sometimes footballers need to grab the opportunity when it comes around - Bryson chose not to in 2014.

Last I heard anything Cardiff owed Tan £180 million.
I don't know if anything has changed, but that gives you an idea of what's been going on down there.

A five year deal he signed, wasn't it? Every year Derby failed to get promoted after that, that contract would become more and more of a millstone.
Grand stadium, large support, rich owners; yet Derby County FC remain an utter shambles.

May never play in the PL but he earned some more cash.

Just goes to highlight the efficacy of our incentive based payment system. Derby were prepared to reward Bryson for merely being there regardless of what he achieved.

At least we know that when we sign players they aren't coming for the money. I know Derby fought hard to try to keep Jeff Hendrick so I assume he was in a similar position to the one Bryson was in two years earlier. Look at the difference between them now.

I'm sure some of them are. Be naive to think otherwise.
Not that it's a problem.

The fact will always be that they can get more money elsewhere.

I must admit I did wonder if he regretted not moving to us when I saw this move last night.

Maybe he just didn't want to come to Burnley?
Maybe staying where he was on better money was the right thing for him at the time.
You can't mock his motives, nothing is certain in life especially trying forecast whether Burnley would be in a better position in the future.
Better the devil you know.

as with a lot of the other big earners Rowett spent the window trying to get him out of the club

Even his then Derby manager Steve McClaren said he thought he'd lost him to Burnley but they were able to offer him a package to persuade him to stay.

Close to going to Ipswich on loan on Thursday but in the end Ipswich considered him too big an injury risk for the wages they would have had to pay.

No - I just actually try to read things to find out what's going on. You should try it, it's far better than coming on here insulting people.

To be fare to CT Shackel to Ipswich was widely reported on all the deadline day threads certainly on here and BBC it was anyway. The reason it fell through as Tony said above was also mentioned as well.
