Someone asked me about this the other day and I've finally found the list which was up to and including Craig Bryson. I've added to it with the articles I've written for this site that have never been used. These are the signings that I thought were close enough to happening but, ultimately, didn't.

Paul Butler
Michael Stewart
Leroy Lita
James Scowcroft
Andy Johnson (midfielder from West Brom, not striker)
Stephen Wright
Andy Griffin
Eric Djemba-Djemba (permanent return)
Jonathan Douglas
Derek Riordan
Alan Gow
Andrew Driver
Darel Russell
Thomas Gravesen
Craig Cathcart
Jack Wilshire
Stuart Holden
Fraser Forster
Danny Drinkwater
Vladimir Weiss
Ryan Shotton
Greg Cunningham
Stephen Dobbie
Nicky Bailey
Harry Kane
Connor Wickham

Kane was around November 2013, potential loan that Spurs scuppered by demanding the earth in a loan payment

He should, as should Graham Dorrans.
They are in the period after I compiled the list and before Up the Clarets.

I think the list would be 100 times longer if I took it from Twitter.
I was close to considering an Andone article this window but not Waris. And I did make a start on Ranocchia.

Vladimir Weiss - Whatever happened to him? I remember watching him play for man city (when they were pish) and thinking he was going to make it as one of the best players around.
Clearly, that is why i would never make it as a scout.

Tony
When are you publishing the stories as to why some of them didn't happen.
Would be an interesting read.
