• Any Clarets at Edge Hill Uni?

Morning all,
My youngest lad is starting at Edge Hill Uni (Ormskirk) in a couple of weeks. Any other Clarets there?
He's not got an account on here but is on the usual Social Media channels.
If anyone wants to get in touch just let me know.

Edge Hill is that in Liverpool? As our niece is going to a Liverpool university we here.

I used to go to Edge Hill...he will love it. There is always plenty of Clarets around town when we play away at both Liverpool teams

My mates lad is starting there this term.

He's a ST holder in the CF stand.

My daughter starts there in 2 weeks - she has a ST in the CF Stand as well

She has been in contact with loads of people on her course and all the other occupants of her halls of residence through Facebook and is really looking forward to it

my son and a few of his mates are starting edge hill this september he is staying in main halls on stanley apparently. what are your two studying?

Nice to know Clarets are still training at Edge Hill.
I went there in the mid seventies and had several fellow students with me who came from East Lancs and were also Burnley supporters. We all celebrated our promotion from Div2.

Stanley Hall 1974 - 78 it was all teacher training when we were in our first year - great place very happy memories - met my wife there and made many good friends. Lived out of hall for 2nd to 4th year, in Mac and Doris's house opposite the little triangular park. She looked after so many lads we christened it "Doris Hall"

Our lot, Alsager, used to play Edge Hill at football and rugby in the late 70s/early 80s.

there a pub just outside ormskirk, on the road in from edge hill, called the cricketers I think. I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned on here and is run by a claret.

Hi,
I go to edge hill uni and I am a Burnley fan!
Not many clarets there, more Liverpool fans.
But the student union is always full to watch the game, and it's a great university to be at! Tell them to make the most of freshers!

The cricketers is more of a pub that you go for a meal at rather than a pub to go to with your mates! Though it does lovely food!

Yeah. Probably more lecturers than students.

One for real ale fans though. West Lancs CAMRA pub of the Year, don't you know

Also good place for those who appreciate a decent pint to stop by on the way to anfield next week.

Is he the Claret chap who used to be 'mine host' of the Oast House pub in Southport?
