I don't think so, Rammy and Burnley have won titles recently.

Hope they are proud of themselves - I, for one, find it very distasteful.

From LL website
"However a protest against Clitheroe is still pending meaning that title celebrations will have to be on hold for the time being"

It's only based on rumours so far.
Leaving Kurt out of the side for title winning games is very shoddy by the Lancs league. Innocent until proven guilty in this country.

They will probably apply to join the Liverpool league. It's an open league and a step up in quality for them.
In terms of punishment 12 point fine maybe? Expulsion would be harsh. I think a disciplinary committee would decide and then maybe the clubs vote on it.

That's what happens in the Ribb league, as the league belongs to the clubs.
Others on here will know more about how the Lancs league do it.

Clitheroe suspended the player not the league.

Congratulations to them.
Whether they, or any other clubs, have broken the rules I don't know and whether any rule breaking was sufficient to have the title taken from them remains to be seen. But they have been the best team in the LL this season.

Why have you mentioned Ramsbottom CC . Are you inferring that they pay players? Can you say which ones other than the Pro and the official coach (Jon Fielding) which has been sanctioned by the league. The coaching position is open to all other clubs to make use of and to point out that he is a Rammy lad as well.
I await your response.

According to the Telegraph which is what I'm going off, the league have advised Clitheroe not to play him which we all know what that means.
In regards to Rammy- Paying players that coach or groundstaff is all the same to me.

If the league stop it that's fine. As the league rules stand he can be paid as a coach and play for RCC. That applies to every club in the league. For someone to say, or insinuate, that Ramsbottom are acting in an underhand way is totally wrong. At least Ramsbottom are open about it and sought permission from the league.

Problem the new league champs have I think is one player allegedly has been in a conversation saying how much he was On, and other players in the side. Said player didn't realise a league official was in earshot

For the record it doesn't bother me who gets paid. I watch footballers who earn obscene amounts of money, I shouldn't begrudge working class lads picking up a few extra quid. The equivalent football teams like Padiham and Rammy pay everyone like £100 a week.

No they don't .. I understand the point you are making but you need to revise the figures
The end of the FA Amateur Cup and the introduction of the Vase came about during the attempt by the FA to address the problem of blatant shamateurism in non league football ...

It was a guess as I have no access to any football clubs figures.

They do vary a lot but the point is they are allowed to as they don't have the pro/amateur distinction .. some pay nothing .. some expenses ... some wages ...one in North Wales pays bigger wages than a certain League club within a few miles of Turf Moor ...

Clitheroe joined the league knowing that paying players ,other than the pro ,was outside the rules .Now questions are being asked as to whether they have chosen to ignore that rule .
If these allegations are found to be proven then they have knowingly cheated. Lets hope for the integrity of the league that this comes to a quick and satisfactory conclusion .
No doubt suspicions will also be raised against other clubs .
