Superb today.

Outmuscling Benteke in a foot race and taking the ball off him was brilliant.

Well done James.

Made an error in the first half when he wanted too long on the ball but overall he was extremely good. Would have been my MOM if Cork hadn't put in a near perfect display.

He needs to cut out the errors as better teams will punish such mistakes. However, his performance was encouraging. He'll get better and better.

Good in the air

I think he reads the game better than Keane as well.

Superb ,Benteke got more and more frustrated as he could get the better of Tarky .Definitely MOM also he stopped Kane something Keane failed to do yesterday

Got to be joking? My MOTM and the Sky panel agree. He won everything. Bar one mis-hap first half he was fantastic.

Tarkowski and Mee were fantastic, as were Lowton and Ward. The Palace players with 5 minutes left walking were about with their heads down because they couldn't get through. We'll certainly play better in attacking this season but I doubt if we'll defend any better.

Only once though. Keane could make up for it because he was quicker, whereas I think Tarkowski is slightly better when it comes to anticipation and getting blocks in etc.

Tarkowski was awesome and our defensive rock today. The main occasion he got caught on the ball came from Mee playing him a pass which shouldn't have been made as he had no options and was under pressure straight away from Palace who pressed us really well at times.

He did ok today just shits me up when he tries to dribble it out of defence caught once or twice today,he's growing into the role though which is promising.

So you blaming Mee for Tarkowski mistakes, have a word with yourself Ffs

One error otherwise flawless. Which describes many games that Michael Keane had for us. A great replacement for MK in my books.

Joey13 if you don't understand that a player can put a team mate under pressure with a bad pass choice and increase the difficulty of the situation (the likelihood of being caught in possession) then I suggest you give up watching football and/or have a word with your self!

According to the stats Mee made the most errors in the Burnley team.

Thought Cork gave great defensive cover aerially, nearly ever header he was in front of Benteke.

For me Cork slightly edged the MOM over Tarky.

Mee played that dodgy ball from almost the touchline on the lefthand side, playing back into the danger area when he was massively out of position. I'm sure that Dyche will rectify him doing it again in training.

Tarks is another I'd offer a 5 year deal to. He will only get better and the bigger clubs will come sniffing, we need to get him tied down now he is playing

To clarify I was liking the reference to the clearance off the line.

The word used to insult Joey wasn't worthy of the like, personally I would've used a different one.

I'm a big fan of Tarky and he got virtually everything in the air when unchallenged, but oh his marking of Ben "what's his name" early on well I thought it was very poor...work in progress as he learns his trade.

Barring one moment in the first half where he decided to go on an adventure with the ball and lost it, he was excellent. Admittedly, on another day that mistake may have cost us but otherwise excellent.

I agree with this.

I thought Mee was also excellent today and I'm a huge fan of his but some supporters seem to conveniently forget when he gets caught in possession or puts teammates in trouble...

Tarkowski bossed an absolute beast of a centre forward today. Played superbly. As did Mee, the rest of the defenders and Cork and Defour imo. Superb rearguard action.

Tarkys 18 clearances today is the highest number from any premier league player all season.

Can we put it to bed now regarding the concerns about Tarks? He's a f u cking good player who will make the odd mistake because we are playing in the Premier League and concede so much possession he has more to do in 10 minutes than most CB's do in 90. And he's the same age as Keane. And he cost us just 6 million.

He has a lot to learn and could have cost us today. Don't let the clean sheet blind you to a reasonable performance, but there should be real optimism about his future as he gains experience.
