Can I ask a stupid question?

Why are Everton tickets going on sale at 12.30 on Saturday when 3000 fans will be on their way to Anfield?

If there is any logic behind that decision I'd love to hear it.

It's so anyone who missed out on Anfield gets first chance for Everton. Nice touch.

Probably working on the principle tht these days it does not need to be a cash transaction. Most people (not me) has internet through their mobiles to book on line at any time. We're probably considered prehistoric those of us that go to the ticket office pay over the counter and leave with the golden ticket.

Don't question the ticket office, its frowned upon.

The sale dates for the Liverpool tickets were odd enough.

have you considered you that you can buy when you come home- or even Sunday? nothing to lose sleep over is it really?
I think the ticket office closes at 12.30 Saturdays, that will probably be the reason for it commencing then.

I don't sleep so I won't lose any.

We will only get 3000 tickets and the points level has been reduced to 3000 giving the chance for a whole lot of extra fans to login on Saturday behind their computers at home to buy them whilst other fans are sat on coaches on their way to Anfield. They may be gone by Sunday. And what does the ticket office closing at 12.30pm on Saturday have any influence on the timing of online sales?

It's not great timing to be honest, but do the fans travelling to Anfield not have mobile data?

anfield tickets are still on sale, i believe, why should a televised game in the same city sell out any faster?

I thought this as soon as times for ticket allocations were released!

Absolutely ridiculous timing...as stated 3000 away fans being denied (no I don't have mobile connection) and unlikely to be able to purchase until late Saturday night.

At least it means I won't get priority tickets for the terrible view from back of lower tier at Goodison.

if all 3000 of us go to anfield and cannot buy, then all 3000 will come home and can buy, so we're in the same position aren't we - yes

It will give as wide a Claret fan base as possible the opportunity to get mugged in Stanley Park.
