'On The ball' penalty shoot-out

I think that a lot of popular culture is to create an effective simulacrum of an inclusive model of a society that doesn't actually exist. I remember watching 'On The ball' as a kid and they had children doing a penalty shoot-out competition. I was good at taking penalties and had fantasies of winning and that would be my root to footy stardom (as millions of other school children must have thought) but I was never asked if I wanted to have a go.

Did anyone on this forum actually get invited to take part or applied?

Not me but I can remember the Sunderland lad who won it at Wembley. He never missed.
