Bleach blonde hair and quick feet, I thought he looked decent from what I remember. Did he even make it pro away from here?

He had a decent throw on him as well. Went to Stanley according to Wiki... made a handful of appearance for Radcliffe Borough - he's 33 now.

You not heard of Kay's Cabs?
He was partying and holidaying with Burnley players for many a year.

A lad I know in the youth team alongside him still to this day is astonished he never got a contract - saidbhe was the best player he had ever played with.
Matt O'neill mentioned earlier was at Nelson semi pro a couple of years ago. I remember his huge throws, massive ears and his running style looking like a waddling duck.
Cayne Hanley got let go and then picked up at some football competitiin by Fergie if I remember correctly.
-----
There are a few who have passed through over my time watching but maybe not one of out youths but I rememer Fernando Guerrero being quite young and seemed like he'd be the next Big thing ...... Then he got the ball to his feet and ran and it seemed too good to be true - then we realised he couldnt do much more than run around

Wasn't he the one Coyle had only seen on YouTube?
Didn't cost as much as the one Fergie signed after seeing video clips though.

Think so - he was absolutely rapid but then just stood still and couldnt do anything with the ball.
Fergie signed a player who had done well in a homeless world cup? Or something similar I think.

Just looked into this - it's the same player but he never actually played in the homeless world cup. He played for a team which was a feeder club for the homeless world cup side but was signed up as a pro by a club before he actually went to the world cup.
United then paid £7 million for him without ever seeing him and he never did much. Loaned him out a few times then he moved on - he's still playing in his home nation of Portugal.....
Bebe was his name.

Bebe still playing in la liga.
Had spells at besiktas and benfica, and although didn't play too much for them I'd hardly say he hadn't made it!!

I got my hair cut by Matty O'Neill about ten years ago in Todmorden.
Random fact that, but it's true.
Joel Pilkington
Michael King - he was one I saw a few times who I thought had a chance.

ITV Digital put an end to the opportunities for a number of young players - not just at Burnley, of course, but across all the football league teams.

I think there will be quite a few more from the current crop. I think Anderson, at 24 years old, was the only one out on loan to play the full game. And that at league 2 Port Vale. The rest got subbed on or subbed off in league 1, 2 or National league games. None of them seem to be setting their loan clubs on fire.

Ian Lewis? He was a great lad.
How Pete Jones from the youth cup side of 68 didn't make it was a surprise. Probably the best centre half I ever played behind.

Matty Heywood got a few games for us and then was discarded, but went on to have a career in the lower leagues I think.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Jimmy case had a few games with us as a youngster only to be told he wasn't good enough- went on to play in one of the best Liverpool squads of all time- same with Lee Dixon released very early in his career I think

John Williamson? Must be around the time stan took over. Think he only played one game for us and retired after leaving in his early 20's!

Jarrow, his name was Douglas. Can't remember his first name. You're right he had his legs broken in a gang fight in Aberdeen. Still managed a decent career in the highland league.

What exactly happened with Dixon at Burnley? Was he a youth player? I know he supposedly played here but I probably wasn't even born back then.
