Time for our super Clarets to keep the momentum and give weeds a lashing. We can win this cup!
Madge is already making her way to the ground, so will be changed into her gear later.
Up the Clarets

Just as it should be. I'll make sure Madge or hopefully Naughty Madge, gets back to your cupboard, afterwards!

Dyche talking about the League Cup in the Lancashire Telegraph:
When asked for his memories from the competition as a player before his Burnley side face Leeds at Turf Moor tonight in the third round, Dyche immediately responds: "Winning a TV. When it was the Rumbelows Cup you used to win a TV for getting man of the match. I gave it to my mum and dad. It was a good quality Sony TV."
Come on Burnley!

For Leeds tonight it will be seen as almost a return to their halcyon days of European football - an away midweek cup match against a top 10 Premier league club. They are the true "Sleeping Giants" of English football - though tbh they have been asleep that long they must be in a coma. They are the best supported club in the UK - well, in their minds they are - not a bad following for a one team city of ONLY 750,000? Wow, you could almost fit their entire population into just 8 Wembley stadiums. Amazing!
They will be loud tonight.......... songs about days long since gone (why can't those clarets in the Cricketfield end come up with a similar range of songs celebrating all things 1914, after all it is only just over 100 years ago??) and no doubt they will be singing "Marching on together" ......not sure where they are marching to but you can't knock a bit of marching can you - even if it is sideways? We are just little old Burnley - we know our place, their true rivals are of course Man Utd, tha' noz. It's a pity though that they don't play them very often, even Udders have deserted them this season. Let them bask in the glory of days gone by - why live in the present? Days when Revie was God and the beautiful game/total soccer was something never spoken about, days when they wore those awful Admiral tie ups, days of Hunter, Bremner, Giles etc and in the words of the great Cloughie "cheated" their way to victory. Days when they nearly but didn't quite win the European Cup. As our new feeder club I should wish them well tonight but I really can't. UTC
