I had no idea why he was taking the crucial penalty before Defour to be honest.

Pope was nowhere near any of them. Strange considering his size.

Was a bit confused as to why he was to be honest. And No, I didn't have the same confidence as in Wood or Barnes.

Makes the Defour sub 2 mins from time look retarded. What was the point?

Soon as he stepped up you think oh no. Wants to be a footballer, as you can see when he's at the back.
Concentrate on your job first and foremost.
He's had a mare tonight.
Gave away the pen and then misses one.
The Defour sub is baffling

And what?
There's no guarantee's with penalties.
Next up Huddersfield in the
Premier League
Even though it sounds like Leeds have just beaten God to become Champions of the Universe

Pope was close to a few I thought.

I knew Michael Duff would miss at Chelsea, too. Should've let a flair player like Wade Elliott take it instead...

Absolutely scandalous decision to let a 6 3 defender take a penalty
And a Belgian international on the field.
And it was Woan writing out the names

Firstly no one knows who else wanted to take a penalty, if we had limited options and Tarks stuck his neck out..
Secondly I'd assume the order of penalty takers is decided before they start and at a guess the manager is involved in that decision.

Why were the penalties all being taken out of sequence? Was very confusing watching the shootout on a foreign stream.

If you don't want to take a penalty, you shouldn't be a professional footballer

Clearly on to take the last pressure penalty. You don't always get that far though. Pretty sure Ronaldo has been left without taking a pen in shootouts before now.

The new ABBA system.... introduced in women World Cup and U17's. Apparently 60% of teams going first win, due to mental pressure of going 2nd. Only becomes an issue surely at 5th penalty and sudden death.

At the last Euros I think that was.
Probably so he can get all the glory and headlines for winning with the decisive penalty.

My opinions on watching that match
Pope second choice keeper
Long league one standard
What a difference Cork made when he came on
We huffed and puffed
Leeds looked more dangerous than we did
We have no player to create a spark
It's all long ball hoping to win second ball.
Not impressed tonight at all.

Or just the most likely to handle the pressure.

Had Tarkowski scored and then Leeds scored two wouldn't we have had another two, thus not actually having one 'pressure' penalty?
Can the order of penalty takers be changed during the shootout or are they submitted to the referee? If they can't be changed then the decision was more understandable but still daft in my view.

With ronaldo's ego what else you expect . Tarks shouldnt of been takin that penalty he should of been down the pecking order . Taylor should of been before him . Maybe its part of being the captain

Defour was obviously brought on for the penalties so why wasn't at least taking the fourth is beyond me. Strange. Oh well, well done tarks on having the ******** stepping up and taking one.

Yes I'm serious. It was rolled in because he sent Pope the wrong way, none of the others were remotely saveable. And he had no chance with their first goal either.

Was Pope a 2nd choice keeper on Saturday?
As for the rest of your points apart from cork....who gives a flying one

Sorry but this is nonsense. Their first goal was easily saveable...it went right through his legs! Not from close range either. Heaton saves this no problem.

Only 2 if you score the first one. Have to score the 5th and the 6th for Leeds to have to take 2 including 1 pressure one.

Tarkowski was captain and probably insisted he should take one of the five.
