It is John Talbut - was taken in Spring 2015. I don't know how he is now but he was certainly sadly suffering from Alzheimer's a few years ago.

John talbut, used to live on Red Lees Avenue opposite Jimmy Holland. If memory serves, Frank Casper lived in the house next door but not necessarily at the same time.

A former centre half = lots of heading balls = Alzheimer's, a simplification maybe but you can see why there is concern about the connection.

We sold him to WBA and the first game he played for them was - away against Burnley. He was made captain as soon as he signed so captained them against his old team.

And he scored his first ever league goal in that game too - scored an own goal at the cricket field end in the first few minutes to give us the lead.
