FIFA 18 Burnley Edition

Post by Burnleyliam » Fri Sep 29, 2017 3:38 pm

Afternoon,

Its been a while but some of you may remember 5 years ago i made a FIFA 13 Burnley Edition and alot of people on here (the other site) downloaded it.

As a one off i've decided to do another for this years release, may be popular if you're surprising your kids for Birthdays, XMAS etc..

Anyway i've made this on Xbox One and PS4, as always its completely free but if you do appreciate it and use it then please make a small charitable donation to the youth foundation or Pendleside Hospice. Unfortunately last time i did these there was a women selling my designs on eBay at £10 a pop and made a fortune, so please don't take the mick with them.

Hope you enjoy. Cheers.

I had to zoom in on Brady's shield, as I thought you'd been harsh but fair and said 'Freekick Waster'

Anybody played it yet? Just about to go and buy it. Usually get it at midnight when it's released but had other things to sort out!

Be sure to keep the original sleeve for when you return the game for an exchange for pro evo.

Playing FIFA nowadays is akin to table football, there's so little control over everything. But it doesn't matter if you have licensed content. :D

Currys did an offer but its since been taken down.

Xbox One S
Halo 5
Forza + Hotwheels
Controller
3 months Xbox Live
Fifa 18 Ronaldo Edition

£208.

Absolutely ridiculous. I dont even play my Xbox 360 but i just had to get it as it was so cheap. Could easily sell this for £300 near christmas but I think it will look swell gathering dust in the living room.

I downloaded the demo of PES 2018 last night because I've only got an Xbox 360 and I'm not a massive gamer. My kids play Lego Star Wars and Lego Dimensions but I am partial to the odd game of FIFA. Really disappointed to find out that FIFA18 is basically not worth buying on the Xbox 360 again this year. They still haven't put "The Journey" on this version and it's running on the old engine, Ignite, which basically means the game hasn't changed since FIFA16. So all the reviews saying the new FIFA is amazing are only relevant to PS4 and Xbox One whereas for Xbox 360 it's just a glorified update / patch to bring squads and kits up to date. I wouldn't mind so much if they lowered their price to bring it inline with PES2018 but they're charging £50+ for an update which is frankly pathetic.

I wouldn't risk buying something just because TCB give a discount. MANY times, I've failed to receive the discount, from various retailers. Sometimes you get it back, sometimes you don't, in my experience.

on the subject of fifa 18... i'm a huge fan of the series and (perhaps foolishly) buy every year.
But this one just doesn't feel right to me.
It reminds me a lot of the late 90s/early 2000s when the series really lost its way and the game was more akin to an ice hockey game. it just doesnt feel like football, the passing is too quick and perfect, and the GKs are pretty woeful.
any one else played yet?
