Claret fan ejected for celebrating the Hendrick goal - can't gather the full facts but looks harsh on the little evidence we have

I dont want to dredge up old news here, but this kind of thing just makes the events at the Hannover game even more ridiculous.

Looks like he came over the barrier into the disabled area.....and certainly did enough for the steward to come running from pitch side towards him.....quickly followed by other stewards who grabbed him!!!!

Must have done something for the stewards to act all together like that......!

If he was attempting to go on the pitch to celebrate with the players.....I've got to say that the Everton stewards are far far far far far better than the ones working for B'stards at ewood!!!

They'll be unnecessarily jittery because of the game against Hadjuk Split.

He was an easy target.

As is always the case, he didn't get kicked out for celebrating. He got kicked out for jumping over a barrier.

Over-zealous stewarding. Strong language warning.

I've just seen our goal on YT. I've put a link to it. I should say that there are a few "four letter words" in it just in case your children are around or you're working.

Sorry if this has already been covered on here.

I fully agree with arresting idiots running on to the pitch but quite honestly this lad who was led away, well it's not on. I think he had his back to the pitch when the stewards grabbed him. I've no idea who he is or whether he's a "lout" or just an enthusiastic fan.

But the stewarding was rubbish. I know there were a lot of problems at Goodison the other week when they played Hajduk Split. Now, there you have some violent blokes mixed in with "normal" fans. I suppose the stewards had been told to be extra vigilant but still.

Is it over-zealous stewarding? The clip doesn't show anything leading up to it so we have no idea what might have happened or what he might have done previously and it is noticeable that, other than a bit of bad language, there is no reaction from other Burnley fans to him being taken out.

As has been said, he jumped over a barrier

The rules are the rules, but I think they can turn a blind eye - he was over the barrier for less than a second.

"Oi, none of that" would've been suffice.

Did he return?

Had he been warned previously for anything? I'm not saying he had or he hadn't but all we get is that short clip.

I hope these hundreds of french fans at the weekend got the same treatment after celebrating a goal! :o

If he jumped into the disabled area, then it's quite right that he got chucked out. Disabled people are vulnerable.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not but if not then pretty sure that's after the away section collapsed at Amiens vs Lille

Is that mean't to be funny?
It's either very poor taste, or you are ignorant of the facts... or you've a very warped sense of humour.
This was a very serious incident, over 20 injured, 3 seriously and the game abandoned.

Or all three. Calm down dear.

There's another chap (brown jacket) doing exactly the same in exactly the same area (or that's how it appears) and he's totally ignored by the stewards. Seems very unnecessarily heavy handed from that clip.
