Is it just me who immediately connects Dusseldorf to a bunch of Geordies with a smattering of Yam Yam's, Cockneys, Brizzle and Arsonist Scousers?!

Scored a great headed goal an assist and played very well to take dusseldorf to the top of bundesliga 2.

I think we would certainly have a more varied option on the the bench if we kept him. I feel sorry for the guy moving over here only to end up back in Germany. Must have disrupted his family quite a bit.
Good luck to him, I wanted him to do well for us!

Had high hopes when we signed him but ultimately wasn't good enough to get into our team in the Championship.

I don't see it he will see it as disrupting his life. More like adding to it.

Nothing to feel sorry about - he no doubt earned more money in his transfer to Burnley than he has done in his whole career.
He was clearly looking for a move to England - nearly going to Sheff Wed.
I am sure he has no regrets as he tried to better himself at a higher level and sure he learnt loads both on and off the pitch at Burnley.
He seemed a decent bloke and I remember him signing autographs for kids and laughing and joking before a game when I was in the corporate box one home game.
These lads have a brilliant life - even when they are not getting in the team.

He might, but having settled with his family here only to go back I'm not sure they did.

This is true.
But let's remember that it was a
Championship winning side that he couldn't get into.
Mayhap he'd have walked into a few of our sides in the recent past and perhaps -with enough game time- he'd have been a steady 2nd tier player?
Who knows? Good luck to the man.

Totally agree, but to suggest he'd have been a good bench option now at a Premier League club, which is what I was commenting on, is not being a steady 2nd tier player.
