Hurricane Nate

Post by Imploding Turtle » Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:06 am

This is a swift little ****** that's about to make landfall on the Louisiana/Mississippi coast (although Bleeding Claret has yet to confirm that).

Expected to hit as a ategory 1 or 2 hurricane. But it's moving very quickly (over 20mph) which is good news because it won't strengthen too much while over the Gulf of Mexico, but it's also bad because there could be a lot of people surprised by it making landfall so soon. I'm sure any states affected will receive a first rate response from the federal government.

Unusual in that it’s the 2nd hurricane running that will track this far west of the coast, going up the Tennessee valley.....soaking Ashevillencclaret and not me, nor the dude in the triad.

Expecting drenching rain, thunderstorm and potential wrap-around tornado potential out of this one. Desperately need the rain in the Triad though
