I think they played in Nelson around the time of that video. Perhaps they were in the area. Either way it's not so far from Manchester.

I know he's a Citeh Fan (because his dad was United even while being from Salford).

I've been googling a bit re the video and can't find anything.

They actually played at the Centre Spot and pretty certain that's the day they filmed the video

Yes, that sounds right now you say it.

A couple of years before my time but I'm sure I heard they played in Nelson at that WMC (Netherfield?) near the old bus station early 80s.

Nelson gig would have been a couple of years earlier than 1983

Great song from a great band. Their recent stuff has been really good too, with their rhythm section better than ever. Not surprising with the drummer and bassist being very local lads, who cut their teeth playing round Burnley as young uns. Played some great little gigs with them 15+ years ago.

The video shows a ticket for Burnley v Crewe, September 13th 1983 at around 2.38 in, maybe that's the date, or nearby.
