Boxing fans fighting again
A teenager has been murdered after fighting at a Walsall boxing event.

Brawling started at Wembley for the Groves fight. I won't link that but if you go on youtube there's millions of boxing trouble videos.
Does it need a national clamp down like football had? Over inflated Jail sentences to sort it out?

Possibly had football hooligan links, I know when you go to none football related local events you often get large groups from different areas and all it needs is a footy song, then towards the end of the night, some knobs, and several drinks later it's kicking off.
Edit - Seen it at both a darts, and music events.

Apparently it was kicking off at Tyson Fury's cousin's recent fight with Joseph Parker.
One of the fighter's family was alledgedly heavily involved.

Are you allowed to drink in the arena at these events ? If so, then they could start by banning it.

At the Darts you can, in plastic cups, so I'd guess it's the same.Funkydrummer wrote:Are you allowed to drink in the arena at these events ? If so, then they could start by banning it.

I would guess so. I think it's only football where drinking in your seat isn't allowed.Funkydrummer wrote:Are you allowed to drink in the arena at these events ? If so, then they could start by banning it.

Its not surprising at all. As boxing/darts grow more popular they'll attract "lads" who are just out to get wasted and well most of them can't handle it and want to scrap. I've seen the same at some gigs too.

Re: Boxing fans fighting again
I went to watch Haye vs Ruiz at the MEN back in 2009 and there were several mass brawls in the crowd that had to be neutralised and dispersed. I'm not convinced it's differing football allegiances that start it either, it's just when you have an abundance of coked up roid heads knocking back the ale and watching a combat sport it triggers the caveman in them. I saw a video on FB taken in Bury cinema after the Mayweather-McGregor fight where about 20 young lads were kicking ten bells out of each other on the floor near where the screen is. Sadly the answer is to probably stop serving booze inside the venue, which is a shame as loads of non-morons will miss the opportunity to enjoy a pint.

Don't know about other venues, but at York Hall, Bethnal Green you can't take your beer out of the bar. So during the breaks between fights it's a nightmare even getting in there and being served. Banning drinks in the arena is one thing. Not sure you can really justify banning all alcohol at any event you deem might develop a distasteful atmosphere. A knobhead is a knobhead and unfortunately they infect all areas of life.

Imagine if everyone started playing football at the 'football'?

Loads of groups of wannabes coked off their tits, all spoiling for a fight with the other large groups of similarly thicknecked simpletons.
