Quicenthetempo - Thats because they are out on the roads catching 'real' criminals driving marginally over the speed limit very often on roads that are not in hazardous places - to name one the A64

In most cases they are civilian camera operators, not police officers.

Must have been like when Shaw Taylor presented Police 5.

You knew where all the criminals were at the time, watching the TV to see if they were on.

Crimewatch used to be a vital resource to the police helping them solve some high profile cases

Now in a day of cctv & social media, the “appeals” are done instantly via Facebook & twitter and the need for photofits & reconstructions isn’t needed.
