Completely irrelevant, but was thinking this the other week at Goodison.
Seems a little odd that our initial 3rd choice keeper, was replaced by a free transfer and kept as 3rd choice when our number 1 got injured.

Duff Out

The goalie wasn't that bad. OK he wasn't Lev Yashin but he did pull off a save or two and he was talking to his defence but the cavalry kept coming. Marney played for an hour and finished in time honoured style with a shot which would have gone over half a dozen sets of nets, while Wells completed the match. He took a few free kicks that lacked power, the last of which gave the keeper something to do. Michael Duff looked a little exasperated on the sidelines. Dwight McNeil's strike was the goal of the game. He played well but is very one footed.
