5k fun run with Zombies chasing us and an inflatable assault course, in Newbury on Saturday.

Doing this with my teenage boys, it's our first one, so I may or may not be able to drive up for Monday's game

FB reminded me this morning that I did the 10k version of this in Skipton exactly 4 years ago today. It's a great laugh and I'm sure you will enjoy it, it's pretty intense though to say the zombies are only volunteers. I was about 8k deep into the run with only one life remaining (three yellow Velcro strips attached to you represent your lives) and me and the bloke I was jogging along with were ambushed by a swarm of zombies. A female zombie began running after me so I picked up the pace to a sprint thinking she'd soon give up, how wrong I was, she kept me going flat out for about 100m which is absolutely horrible when you've covered so much distance already. I eventually managed to finish the race with one life in tact making me only one of two to survive from a group of 15 of my colleagues that took part :D I led a very sedentary life at the time so for about a week afterwards I was feeling the effects. Great day out though!

There's 5 games on Sky Sports over the weekend, if you don't mind watching championship games instead of BT Sport's crappy efforts.

Man Utd v Tottenham Hotspur
Hull City v Nottingham Forest
Birmingham City v Aston Villa
Brighton & Hove Albion v Southampton
Leicester City v Everton

BT Sport can only be 'ok', if you mute the commentary if Michael Owen is on, and ignore any pre-match / post-match coverage.

I've heard Sean Dyche will be at the bottom game to check out the opposition.

I'll bet these games are quite decent. I'd go if it weren't for the policy.

Padiham is a city that never sleeps and is credited with being the place that has developed many a good footballer.

Christ yes. International weekends are appalling. All of the games are invariably poor and all are done with after Friday night. I'd be more than happy to see international football binned off.

"Padiham FC offer half price admission for any Burnley ST holders when we have no game."

That's a good idea IMO, Quickenthetempo. How much is it to go on without concessions?

A potentially tasty game on Sky Sports tonight, Leeds vs Sheffield United.

I fancy Sheff U to win it.

Gonna go to FC United Margies gone after 12 years they are finding it difficult at this level trying to live by the ethic but the higher you go the more money needs to be spent you can't escape the fact.

£6 adults U16s free.

I think that's the lowest you can charge via league rules.
