JBG, best assist player we have and an absolute class ball to Hendrick.looks like the best bargain since Michael Duff.

Yes. Along with our other wingers we need to allow him to cross the ball or shoot at every opportunity.

Another great assist with his 'wrong' foot.

Gudmundssun virtually always either keeps going forward or tries to play a telling cross/pass....I rate him and definitely seems to go under the radar a bit when it comes to getting plaudits....quality player.

A great cross and came into the game as it went on but to be honest was no where to be seen for the first 20 mins or so.

God forbid we allow Brady to shoot at every opportunity, unless your plan is to have the opposition players injured by the ball repeatedly hitting them???
I’m still waiting for one of his corners to reach the danger area...

Definitely underrated and I was just about to start a thread to say so. In the goal move he positioned himself well to take the ball from Cork and set his shot up beautifully got onto the palmed out shot and first time chipped to Hendrick.
That's two superb crosses recently on his weaker foot something Brady could not do. He gets the ball a lot under pressure whilst tightly marked and can't get out so often has to use a return pass which he rarely fluffs. In space he's skillful and creative always up with the attack and takes up some good positions where the opposition don't expect him.
Don't get the low marks he often gets as there's only so much you can do in the circumstances.

More assists with his right than left for us? I can think of 3 within his right. Better than Brady last night too. I'd get him and defour in corners too. Brady has been awful from corners, although his free kicks are pretty useful

I agree with Steve1956 Brady very disappointing as for me was Hendrick other than the goal obviously but I mentioned at the time that maybe the WC play-offs are in the back of their minds, off our Irish contingent only Ward ever seems to return from the international break and picks up where he left off league wise. Both players seemed to play within theirselves and Hendrick didn`t seem arsed at times when for me he could have fought for the ball. I wonder sometimes how much of Woods injury is physiological with the WC play-offs looming

If it's physiological it's definitely a physical injury then, not a mental problem

whichever way you want to see it I still think their mind is mainly on the WC play-offs which to a point is understandable and even a minor injury could be used as a reason to protect themselves for these matches, lets face it all players would love to take part in the WC finals.

I don't think he's "much maligned".
Paul Stewart, Mark Winstanley, Lee Howey, Michael Williams... these players were "much maligned".

FAO Rowls and with good reason the guys mentioned are a great fit into some of the worst Burnley teams I have seen in my 50+ yrs watching my team .

JBG’s chasing back and getting a toe in to lay it back to Lowton on numerous occasions was notable to me in breaking up Newcastle’s play.
Never gives up
