It's all tits up at Reading - did a brilliant job last season in difficult circumstances but they are having a tough time this time around.

I'm not touting him for any job at Burnley though, far from it.

Laws wasn't a failing Championship manager, he was managing a failing Championship club that had no finances to work with and kept them in the Championship in a similar fashion to how Cotterill kept Burnley afloat. The key difference being that our board didn't panic by firing Cotterill. (But then maybe it would have been different had Cotterill's 55 winless game streak come after a worse start to that season that meant we were effectively safe already.)
