Incredible, we’re certainly unique. Huddersfield may be doing well, but not the same overall club progress on and off the pitch as us, surely Dyche can show his Mrs that living in the Ribbke Valley would be bloody wonderful!

This was my first thought too!

Surely anyone with their head screwed on right would see that the party this season has only just started here. With the connection he has made with club and town he'd have to know that leaving right now would damage what is shaping up to be an unbelievable season (which by the way is in no small measure the fruits of his labour to date)! Fingers crossed he sees it as well.

As tempting as the Everton job is I can't believe he'd walk away from a side he's spent five years building. Imagine some other guy coming in keeping us in the top half and getting all the praise for achieving our best position in forty years or whatever.

Totally agree, his record here, the things he's done and built in five years. The progress the team and the club have made, the future here looks very good. Why give something up like he's done and go to a struggling club that if they don't get the results could part company with him by January. The logic, his record etc says he'd stay, but the cash dangled would be the only thing I can see that would make him decide differently.

Just crazy to leave I just wish he would confirm it but maybe his agent is telling him to soak up the publicity which is not a bad idea.

His Mrs will make him see sense...he will stay he likes it at Turf.

Spot on. Committing himself to the club or saying he'd listen to offers, are both foolish mistakes because it automatically limits his hand. Not saying anything that suggests he's interested gives him the most options. It's the sensible thing to do, but of course frustrating for us fans.

My only concern is that I feel like Everton can't possibly ignore what Dyche is doing at Burnley.

Whatever happens, I'm just enjoying it while it lasts. What a time to be a Burnley fan.

He probably needs to prove himself at a club like Everton, but it must be tempting to stay with the success he has produced here.

If Everton lose tomorrow that's an 11 point gap, we are 6/7th and they are in the bottom 3.

My step sis who's lived over there for many years tells me that Everton is run like the mafia, scary place to be apparently.

All of these wins and the continued progress he is making are money in the bank for Dyche. He'll reject Everton for now and keep banking the credit and cash it in for an even greater reward such as the England job or maybe the Spurs manager's role when Poch leaves for either Real Madrid or Barcelona. When we qualify for the Champions League and eclipse all that Leicester achieved, he'll be able to pick and choose his next position and write his own pay cheque. He'd be nuts to 'chip' now for a job that could take him down and end his upward, stellar trajectory.

Sean Dyche 'fits' this club like a glove. He is, and will go on to be an exceptional manager. That doesn't mean that any or every club will suit him. Everton, normally, would be a good fit, but the timing is all wrong to be leaving here now. I could only see it ending in tears, for us, for him and for Everton.

It would be difficult for him to walk away from a group of players who give absolutely everything for him and carry out his instructions to the letter of the law. He's turned this side into the best drilled team in the country. The Everton job would be extremely tempting, if indeed he is considered for it, but today's performance and result has left me wondering whether the grass would be much greener for another 12-18 months.

Hmm “settles it” in terms of nicely rounding off his job application, at the start of the international break, with Burnley in an impressive 6th position. Nice little CV boost.

Also, he can park his car here and be fairly sure his hubcaps will still be there when he gets back at tea time.

Managing Burnley and managing Everton is chalk and cheese. He's showing that he knows how to manage a team very well, where more often than not, the opposing side is better overall, man-for-man. It's almost a different ball game when you're expected to win most games and finish in a European spot, along with being expected to play nice flowing football with the players you have at hand. It could go south very very quickly, if he did leave for them.

Didn't realise he would be working under a director of football at Everton and one who according to the Liverpool Echo didn't get on with Koeman.

I think its very blinkered on this thread . I actually think he would be crazy to stay . Everton would be the perfect club ,a perfect opportunity to turn a lot bigger club than Burnley around . Id be very surprised if he is offered the job and elects to stay , I hope he does mind , but cannot see it .

Talksport just suggested that with Burnley 7th and Everton in the drop zone it might not be such a clever decision to jump ship now. I almost fell out the bath when I heard it.

He needs to show he can improve a club and their league positions, along with evolving their style of play.
