They’d add something else to the squad and they be chomping at the bit to join a club pushing for the Champion’s League places

As one of the big top six we need to be looking higher up the food chain...

Someone at the match today told me of a new signing we are targeting - but, I can't remember who the player was.

Plenty were saying Sigurdsson is a better player than Defour at the start of the season!
At the moment, Defour is a class above!

Man for man Everton are no match for us. Pickford v Pope or Heaton? No contest

Agreed, Pickford every time.
To be fair some people will still be saying Everton isn't a step up from us, in every way possible.
These people are best ignored.

Full backs- don’t think they’re a patch- Baines is past it and Coleman overrated -

Defour has been great for us but will mainly be judged on goals and assists by the outside world.

Centre Halfs - Keane v Tarks - only one winner there

I'm 90% certain it's the same player I was told.

Both would walk into our side under an attacking gaffer.

James Ward Prouse. Always liked him, too good to be playing a couple hundred minuted for Saints. Still only 23 with bags of potential.

We could always take Keane as an understudy for Tarks.
Therefore, when we eventually sell Tarks for £30 - 50m, he'll be ready to slot right in.

Both would take 18 months to be Dyche fit in body & mind.

if Dyche was given the Man City job and squad he would pick an attacking team.
At Burnley he picks a team and a set up to do the best with what he has.

Would you really rather have Pickford than Heaton? I wouldn't.

In international terms, absolutely.
For club, not sure. Pickford has kept the score respectable for Everton a lot this season. Put him beinf our defence, he would be instantly required to do less.
If need to see Heaton on his return to make a full judgement though.
