What's that shirt all about?

It's pattern is similar to those special envelopes you can get sometimes..

It will be interesting to see Sam's reaction if the question of Dyche comes up after our highlights...

If Sam isn't in the frame, I think the writing is on the wall for us, sadly. It always seemed to be one or the other.

They need to just drop the question on him.

Linaker can do that but probably won't

I'll wait for a body language expert, but he didn't rule himself out of that Everton job and from the smile on his face I think he's been contacted about it.

I think that knowing smile said it all.

Calm down folks. BFS is off to Goodison !!!

I'm no expert but that smile said to me that he knows Dyche is going to Everton and that he's got the Burnley gig.

And now I'm going to be sick.

Highly doubt BFS would be interested in our job, were it to come up.

Whatever people think of the sour old tosser though, his style of play would work with our squad - without a shadow of a doubt.

That smile was one of those smiles you don't wanna give much away. Like in a bar you're getting on with a girl and you just know you're getting some later.

Other way round I think to be honest.

I think he knows he's got the Everton job but can't say owt.

Have to say I feel (and it's only a feeling) that Sam will be going to Everton. His smile was a "yeah, I'll be back in management soon"

Lets frickin hope so anyway.

I wouldn’t mind big Sam replacing Dyche. I’d think he’ll hold fort, keep us in the league and provide a stepping stone to the next manager.

Look at the clubs that got rid of him by fan power newcastle and west ham ...and Blackburn. There loss will be someone's gain.

BFS makes far more sense from an Everton point of view.
Never relegated
Handled big presure (WHU, NU)
Big experience
Out of work
Handled big players (personalities) (Davies, weight)
Pretty Shirts!!

He kept mentioning us in the post match Brighton waffle.

He's coming to us, and Dyche has gone.

He's definitely been contacted Sidney - he met with them on Friday. The only thing that could deny Big Sam the job is his hubris. Made big demands apparently but ultimately that shouldn't be a problem for Everton. If they don't beat Watford tomorrow it's got to be Sam for them - they're in deep.

I'd absolutely hate to see Dyche leave in the foreseeable future. There is hardly anyone out there I can think of that I would be pleased with as a replacement.

BFS, despite what many fans think, would fit into our system wonderfully well. I rate him as an excellent manager full-stop.

I couldn't tell which of the 2 possibilities to Lineker's question that BFS was implying. He clearly knows something. I would be able to live with either scenario. I can't think there are many other suitors that I'd be happy with for us.

I may have misheard, but when braincell asked Big Sam if he'd be interested in Everton, I heard, "I don't think so, really", but that was immediately followed up with some more random chat and BFS than changed his tone of reply.

Sam was playing mind games with Dyche. BFS will turn down Everton knowing that Dyche will take the job so he can get a better job at Burnley.

I have heard BFS has had an interview at Everton but he would be the best man to replace Dyche.

The rumour was he has to repay CP £2m if he takes a PL job.
Now it's that he's to steep for Evertons liking.
Wonder if he asked them to pay the £2m?

But that's less than the 2.5m Dyche compo.

True but he'd want an enormous salary on top, plus all his bonuses for buying and selling players and there'd be some turnover to get that shower sorted.

Having lost out on the Burnley job a couple of times or more in the past,Isn't BFS on record commenting that he would never again apply or be interested in the Burnley job.
Something like that anyway.

"I just don't get it. He is in a decent run of form, granted, but he has been there 5 seasons, or years, whatever. His mitts are all over the club and the team. He has no track record of short term fixes, at all. Which is what we need."

Chap on the Everton forum on Dyche. Have to say I'd agree with this were I in their shoes.

Sam Allardyce is OK, he was reasonably complimetary about us and Dyche (some may say because he wants the job). If Sean leaves he wouldn't be a bad replacement in my (less than humble, un capitalised opinion). I love using long hand in context..Que sera, sera..

If that's how he reacts under interrogation from Lineker, he's knackered if he ever finds himself in court for his alleged dodgy dealings.

It's probably me but after being sacked as England Manager I really could not understand why he did not also receive a lengthy ban from English football generally.

Because he didn’t do anything wrong. He took a corporate gig where he spoke about the problems with FA and how to exploit loopholes in the international transfer market.

Its the equivalent of slagging off your place of work and advising people how to work the industry... then your boss finding out.
