Congratulations to Jack Cork. Worth cancelling his holiday break!
Burnley - feeder club to England!

Your not wrong.
If someone told me even 5 years ago, Burnley would be providing England with players, I'd have thought they were barking mad. (In a nice way

)
Just have to take, and enjoy these times.

3rd Claret debut under Dyche as manager. I read something the other day, can’t find it now, about current managers of players in Prem who supply England Debutants - SD in now 3rd in the list

With our core being made up of english players this is only going to increase.
With our recent success here producing england players (and i include jay, ings, trippier and others in that) we must be so appealing to young players these days.
Next up Tarkowski and maybe Mee.

Thats brilliant. He should be rightly proud.
I bet Cork is delighted to have done it with Burnley.

A bit like busses, no Burnley player gets an England cap for over 40 years....
...then we get 3.

I think that's right plus three more who have played international football previously in Bardsley, Ulvestad and Lindegaard.

I honest don't think he would have got the chance playing at any other club which makes it all the more incredible.

Didn't hear it myself but someone on Talksport was apparently bemoaning the fact that Cork was selected ahead of Wilshere and said about Cork that all he does is run around a lot for Swansea who lose every week. I'm assuming someone put him right and told him Cork had moved in the summer.

When was the last time Wilshere had a good game?
2014ish?

Goodness knows, last time I saw him was when he came off injured for Bournemouth towards end of last season and getting dogs abuse from Jason Tindall on the touchline. I think the injuries have done for him to be honest, it seems to be one after the other over recent years.

Having watched some of the dire football in 86/87 it really is remarkable that we are now producing players again for England. Nobody in their right mind then would have envisaged this. Good times.

One more to add - Chris Wood, so 12 current and 15 full internationals in total currently in our squad.

I thought I'd mentioned him but I hadn't - so that's 16 full internationals at the club. Incredible.

Ref : CT's post 15 - I heard a lot of comments on Talks***e radio this week about picking Wilshere ahead of Cork, some from so-called 'experts', but the most amusing comment was attributed to Arsene Whinger who says that Wilshere should be in the England side. This would be the same Arsene Whinger who doesn't pick Wilshere for Arsenal! You couldn't make it up!

When SD arrived we had Lafferty, Duff Vokes and maybe Edgar as internationals. Wallace played for Scotland when at PNE but not with us

I always thought Alan Stevenson had an England cap, maybe only at U21 level though ?

Although only on the pitch for a few minutes he did get quite a bit of commentary about him playing for Burnley and some of his career background.

I don't know if it makes me old, but i have seen 11 of the players on that list play for Burnley.
There must be quite a few posters on here that have watched more.
