• Horse Racing Nap League

There is a race meeting at Cheltenham starting tomorrow for three days and following the last nap league that I ran I was asked to do another for this meeting.

So it all starts at 12.40pm tomorrow with a six race card followed by seven races on Saturday and six on Sunday.

All the usual rules apply but I will outline them anyway as I am an insomniac.

You will start off with a virtual £0 and lose a £1 for each losing selection.

Each winner will gain you the winning starting price.

Choose one horse per day as your nap and if it wins it will double the starting price.

For this league non runners will be classed as tough luck as I will be at the Turf on Saturday and out much of Sunday so tracking them and marking this up will be hard work. Sorry.

It is free to enter to anybody in the whole world and a £10 bet goes to the winner.

Please post your selections on here and your Friday one's before 12.40.

I will post a league table tomorrow evening but Saturday's will be late as I will be out celebrating our demolition of the Welsh and normal service should resume Sunday unless I have been locked up!

As an aside I was given a tip the other day by Fat Harry, Pitch High at Newcastle, logged on to my betting account about ten minutes before the race and the doorbell went, answered the door to one of the neighbours, got chatting and forgot all about the bet. Bloody steamed in at 12/1. ATR tipsters are doing well at the moment if anyone wants tips and Happy is not around.

NAP is your "main pick" which you get double the starting price on if it wins in this league.

NAP league - you pick your choices for the races and as mentioned in OP you get a virtual £1 on each horse - whoever tips the best and wins the most with their virtual £1 a race over the whole 3 day meet is a winner. The league bit is just as there will follow on a league table of everyone who enters.

No it isn't and in all my hundreds of my nap leagues today has been my worst.

I had to get my youngest from school as he was sick today and my dad-in-law with dementia thinks today is the day he is due to fly to the moon.
