Wouldn't want to be a Fort William fan tonight. They have just seen their team lose 16 nil.

1-0, 16-0, they all hurt

My dad played for both these teams in the 60's.
I suggested that this score would be the Highland League record win but he put me right. He played for Brora Rangers when they first joined the league, the team was made up of whoever wasn't working on the day. They hold the record for the heaviest defeat, a 1-18 shallacking, he can't recall who they were playing, I don't blame him

My thoughts exactly.

I'd probably be less annoyed at a 16-0 loss as pretty quickly into the game I would have realised that we'd lost.

A 1-0 loss to a 90th min penalty would surely hurt more.

36-0?

Don't they reckon the ball is only in play for about an hour in the game? With all those goals they must have been scoring every minute or two of gametime

Bon Accord, so they tell me, were a cricket team that were sent an invitation to enter by mistake. Though that may possibly be an urban myth.

I'm going to Fort William in February, and they have a home game. I think I might go and watch. Can I pay on the gate?

A number of our posters have relatives in Fort William...." A Blue claret's " Scottish Cousin,is doing a fine impression of Private Frazer, from " Dad's Army " wandering around saying, " We're all doomed !! " at the top of his voice... " DaveManu's " nephew is predicting a 3-0 Home win against the league leaders next week, and a rain free December.... " Lancaster's " Auntie is blaming it on Brexit, " Imploding Turtle's " kinfolk are putting it all down to " Heartless evil Tory B****rds ", " IanMcL's " brother is proposing Madges sister to be the new manager and Ringo's estranged half brother is ascribing the result to " Bl**dy Foreigners ", some of whom have come from as far as Invergorden !!!
