That’s the lady, I noticed she’s missed last 2 home games and I asked the replacement bloke, he’s didn’t know why she wasn’t there,

I was thinking the same thing as well Woodley.
I used to buy 2 off her and ask if she ever made it to the drum with her stubs Hope all is fine and she is in good health.

I think its been longer than that tbh. I had assumed she had given up. When the tickets used to be £1 there was always a queue.

When they put them up to £2, never saw many people buying.

My other half spoke to Jean this morning and she is fine. Been a little under the weather and will be back selling tickets in a couple of weeks.

Bet she is is dead chuffed that she has been missed.

One of lads I go on with was going to call the club and ask about her well being - We always joke with her on our way to the ground "have you been home yet/are you still here" as she has been there pretty much as long as I can remember in any weather and always has a smile on her face.

Glad to hear she is ok as we've worried the past few games having not seen her there - I love that other people have also noticed her absence too as it shows she truly is one of the things that makea a trip to the Turf complete. Hope she returns to full health as quickly as possible.

Haven't the foggiest who Jean is but this has been a heart-warming little thread.

There is such joy and comfort in the shared experience of going to the football - it goes way beyond the sport itself. Hope Jean's back selling tickets soon and in rude health.

Thank the Lord. I'd half expected to read that she'd run off to Brazil with the ticket money and that there was an extradition order for her arrest.
