Best place for Christmas trees? In the ground still growing. Get a good artificial one. You might pay a lot but it lasts for years and if you get a good one they look real enough and make less mess. We had real ones for years but then about 5/6 years ago we bought an artificial for about £120 (and we got that cheap) but after about 3 years it had paid for itself and now we don't have to keep forking out and there are no pine needles in June.

Huntroyde nurseries just off Padiham Bypass.

It's run by Pete Shirtcliffe who owns Burnley memoribilia.

Artificial ones are ok. But i cant be arsed taking up stirage space for something i use for 3 weeks. Plus real ones smell better.

Get a tree and wreaths from Red Lees farm, which is run by Dave. His place is well signposted on your left from Burnley.

Went to towneley on way home. Gates closed at 16:45, 15 mins before advertised closing time with 4 or 5 cars behind me probably expecting same.

Rung up. Was entertaining at least!

'Are you open?'
No we close at 5
'but it isnt 5'...
I know but we close at 5....
'How much are your trees if I come back tomorrow?'
They are half price.
'So how much is that?'
Well if it was 50 its now 25...
(Great maths  ) 'So whats the price range?'
No idea...

Drove up the road to the other one mentioned along with half the cars behind me, picked one he'd loaded it in my car and I'd paid for it before Towneley was meant to have closed!

That'd be Springwood Nurseries. Very nice obliging people, really helpful. We were doing some working the garden in the summer involving heavy bags of pebbles. I was incapacitated at the time and the guys loaded everything in the car for us on about three successive visits. Just looking for somebody to unloadthem at the other end now!

Get mine locally from a lad in simonstone! Hardman’s Christmas Tree’s is the name on Facebook. They are up on Trapp Lane on the farm on the right hand side. Pump house farm Bb127JD.. Last years lasted till new year and it comes with a free stand that allows you to put water in.. also does free local delivery I think!

O/P got it spot on with the Red Lees Farm in Cliviger.

Bought one last weekend and it is brilliant according to the wife, kid and dog.

As much as I hate Christmas.

I purchased a 6' real tree from Morrisons on Saturday. £15. It's super.

Got a real one from Spring Wood last year. Minimal needle droppage and still looked as good as the day we bought it when we chucked it out in January. In fact, felt a bit of a shame to be getting rid it looked that healthy.
