On a side note I really hate the Etihad. A soulless bowl in the middle of nowhere. The worst of the modern stadia in my eyes and exactly what we don’t want the turf ever to be like.

I like it. Far better than Old Trafford and Anfield.

Decent facilities around the ground as well.

Depends what you’re looking for in a ground. It lacks character for me and history (obviously).

I like anfield (though prefer goodison) and I thought. Maine Road was great - a great atmosphere with an edge of menace to keep you on your toes. Just like the turf used to be like!

Don't like Etihad at all. As said, a soulless place.

City will offer us about 8 thousand, whether Burnley take them it not is another matter. I'm not keen on the Etihad either, apart from it's location fairly close to the city centre don't think it's got much going for it.

I remember when we played Chelsea away we got 6,200 tickets and no one said we would sell out on a Tuesday night.On occasions like this we come together as a group of supporters its in are blood utc

I think there are different circumstances here. We’d not played at Chelsea for years and for whatever reason there was a bizarre optimism before the game.

I was really looking forward to a good cup run (it may well still happen) as it’s the only thing missing over the last few years. You have to believe I suppose!

Totally agree with above. Lots of Clarets can't get to away matches mainly due to exorbitant cost and ticket availability. This won't be the case here so a great opportunity to cheer on the team to victory!

I must admit that I was stunned when we sold out at Chelsea but that was very different from this one.

When we went to Chelsea in 2008 it was our first visit to Stamford Bridge for 26 years so many Burnley fans had never seen us play there. We are regular visitors to the Etihad.

Exorbitant cost is now a maximum price of £30 for tickets.

City will have far bigger games to come than this so if the tickets are £10 /£15 adults theres no reason we cant sell 8000. The ease of getting there to x43/train.

Yes, if that's 15% of capacity. Although in the past they've given a reduced allocation to Man Utd and they gave Wolves 5500 in the Carabao (sp) in October.

I don't think that they have an option in the FA Cup Peter though somebody may prove me wrong.

I'm of the opinion that we'll sell quite a few for this game.
It's up the road and easily accessible, but mainly there are groups of friends who hold different levels of claret points, it's rare that all those mates will be able to get tickets never mind tickets together, those with over 5000 points can afford to hang on and get tickets with mates who hold say 1500 points.
Good day out at one of the country's leading clubs, just down the road and probably not at pocket breaking prices

I think we'll take at least 5,000 - hopefully more.
As for the ground I like it - think it's a great ground and I've been there a few times when the atmosphere has been great.
I prefer it to Arsenal's ground and in recent years the atmosphere for our games at City has been better than at Old Trafford

Lets hope it's £10 a ticket. We only just sold out 3k for the league game and not everyone believes in the cup magic these days I'm afraid.

£10 a ticket and no loyalty point system (so everyone can buy together) could see us take 6k plus.

8k might be pushing it as Sheff Utd 94 might be the last time we took that many away.

This game comes a bit too soon after xmas for a lot of our fans, with Huddersfield and UTD away and an expensive time of year only just behind us, people just cant afford to splash out so soon after the festive period , mind you if the tickets are only a tenner then maybe we could get a few coppers together and make the trip, i enjoy the day out at the Etihad, especially the pub stops with the Accy Clarets with Pete and the lads, so maybe we will be able talk the missus round and ask her to dig into the bowels of her purse and buy me and my lads a ticket apiece

The Etihad is a fantastic stadium for watching pop concerts,seen the Chilli Peppers & The Foo Fighters there,for watching a game of football in it...forget it!

Although many couldn't get Hudds and Utd so this could be an alternative

Only the fans that go everywhere will of got Huddersfield and United tickets so they're likely to go to City.
It's the we should play the kids because the leagues more important you have to convince.

Not worried about our away support in the slightest, only worry is the powers that be taking a stupid allocation again.

Can't see tv being interested in this one, could be wrong, not usually their 'bag' though.

Hopefully won't be on T.V. The only good thing about this draw is the potential to take a big following and a good Saturday out in Manchester.

City always have cheap ticket prices for cup games, they can't fill their stadium otherwise.

They can charge anything upwards of £10 (that's been reduced from £15 previously), but there is no maximum.

Rule 20 (c) (2):

Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions.

The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

and below is Rule 21 regarding distribution of tickets:

21. DISTRIBUTION OF TICKETS

(a) All Rounds Preceding the Semi-Finals

In all matches preceding the Semi-Finals, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up to 15% of all accommodation for which tickets are issued providing these tickets are in a fully segregated area, and subject to the following regulations:

(i) The request for tickets shall be made within two days of the draw.

(ii) The tickets allotted to the Visiting Club, if numbered and reserved, must be of equal value to those retained by the Home Club.

(iii) In cases of replays, the Club playing away in the replay must make a request for tickets prior to the original match in order to ensure that the replay tickets are in the possession of the club playing away in the replay at the latest immediately on conclusion of the original match.

(iv) The Visiting Club shall be responsible for the payment of all tickets asked for and allotted, unless otherwise agreed between the Clubs in writing with a copy sent to The Association. All questions in dispute shall immediately be referred to The Association.

(v) The Visiting Club should settle with the Home Club for sales of tickets on or before the day of the match.

(vi) Any tickets not sold by the Visiting Club should be returned to the Home Club with their statement of tickets sales.

(vii) In the Competition Proper, a Visiting Club shall be entitled to one third of the seats usually reserved and known as “Home and Visiting Directors’ Seats” up to a maximum of 24 seats.

(viii) Where disabled facilities are provided, a Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up to 15% of this accommodation.

(ix) Where it is deemed desirable, the Professional Game Board shall have the right to vary the allocation of tickets to the Visiting Club, or require a match to be made all ticket.

I'd be surprised if it were on TV - although I'd expect there will be one FA Cup tie in Manchester televised.

VAR will be used at the Brighton v Palace game. Liverpool v Everton was considered for the experiment but thought to be too high profile.

Whether Burnley take the full allocation will presumably have a lot to do with whether the club have to pay for any that remain unsold.

There will be loads of empty seats in the City end though. There are for league games, they struggle in the CL, so this fixture won't see much take up from the City 'faithful'. This could lead to problems then if BFC take the minimum as - with it not being on TV - many Clarets will be in the home ends.

So after waiting for the T.V companies we're now going to have to wait for the GMP and the 2 Manchester clubs to decide who has to play on the Sunday.

No way this will be on tv, city will have a decent crowd and I reckon we’d sell 6k no problem .Gotta remember a lot of city fans just can’t get tickets for a lot of games not to mention all the Burnley fans that struggle to get an away ticket.Its also Down the road and it’s the fa cup .

To read some of the posts on here you’d think it was an allocation for a colonoscopy !

Man Utd run of 58 consecutive games televised?!? Really? That's a full season plus every League Cup, FA Cup and Europa Cup game and still some all on British TV?

So they haven't played a 3pm game in over a year? The last non televised game must have been when they played Burnley last year?!?
